I've got a couple of motion sensors. Can you set them up to only operate when the lights are off? They're great for hallways and landings but I've also got a room that sometimes I sit in and sometimes I just walk through.

What I'd like is that if I'm sitting in the room with the lights on the motion sensors do nothing and the lights stay on even if I'm inactive. When I'm not in the room but walk through it (and it's dark) they come on.

As it stands I have to wave my arms every five minutes for the lights to come back on if I'm reading a book hehe
I think there's a formula for that in Hue Labs

Does anyone know if there are any garden spotlights that will allow a colour Hue GU10 extended sizes bulb?

^ I was looking for the same a while back but then people on here were saying the GU10's are pretty poor for colour rendition. In the end I purchased black bulkheads and put them low on the ground on the fence covered by the plants with E27's in.

I have a few of the colour GU10s and think they are fine, but that's probably a better idea and maybe cheaper too!

Does anybody know of an alternative to the Philips motion sensor that works with Hue? We'd like to put one outside and I'm not sure the Philips version is waterproof

No, but I suspect in the very near future Philips will release their own outdoor sensor.

Have you done this, or is it just a suggestion?

Just a suggestion can’t see it not working - try it out with some cling film.

Will normal clingfilm work or do you have to buy the £70 a roll Hue cling film?

Don't think it'll work if you cover the sensor even with clear plastic, our internal sensor doesn't work through our internal glass doors.

Noisy transformer on a light strip. Changes tone when you change colour. Most noticeable on cool whites. Take it it's a duff one?

I’m still waiting for my Nobel Prize for physics cry

Until which time I won’t publish my results on “Hue sensor through the oven door”

Im tempted by the Nanoleaf, anyone on here got one? Bit pricey for what it is, but does look good.
