How do I set my Exho to play Radio 4 every weekday morning from 0645, but turn off 45 minutes later?
Cant work it out. I know it's me being thick, but help!
I assume you know that to set it playing, you simply tell it to set an alarm for every weekday morning at 6.45 to Radio 4.Cant work it out. I know it's me being thick, but help!
The only way I've figured out to stop it playing some time later is to set a sleep timer as I get up.

When I create a routine (at least via the Android App), I get the option to run it for a certain amount of time, do you not get that option?
Routines are much more flexible than Alarms, you can get it to do pretty much anything. Only limitation is that any music action must be the last action in the list of actions.

I've just set one up, and it is a neat way of doing it.
I guess the only negative is the volume. With an alarm, I can set a separate alarm volume, so it works regardless of any changes to the normal volume - whereas with a routine, I guess it will be playing at whatever the last volume was.
But that shouldn't be a big deal so I'll see how I get on.

You can also set the volume it comes on at.I guess the only negative is the volume. With an alarm, I can set a separate alarm volume, so it works regardless of any changes to the normal volume - whereas with a routine, I guess it will be playing at whatever the last volume was.

Did anyone buy the Echo Show 5 bundle with the NEOS smartcam from the Prime Day deals?
I got them delivered last night, set them up, linked my accounts, etc, but when i ask Alexa to show me the camera, it says waiting for NEOS on the screen but then tells me that the camera isn't responding. I can see the camera through the NEOS app on my phone though.
Any ideas?

Try removing the NEOS skill and reactivating.I got them delivered last night, set them up, linked my accounts, etc, but when i ask Alexa to show me the camera, it says waiting for NEOS on the screen but then tells me that the camera isn't responding. Really impressed with the show 5, at £50 it was a bargain. The sound is good too, I bet the bigger dedicated speakers are really good.
Got it set up with Spotify and my amp so that I can stream the audio to my proper speakers, its doing my WiFi switches dead easy too.
Only 2 gripes, I don't like how the screen says try alexa do this or alexa do that but there's no way to turn that off as far as I can determine.
The other thing is I can set up a routine to switch my amp on and for it to start playing music but I can't make it connect via Bluetooth to the without an additional voice command.

I ordered one then cancelled it today when the delivery was delayed by a fortnight. They must be popular!Got it set up with Spotify and my amp so that I can stream the audio to my proper speakers, its doing my WiFi switches dead easy too.

I'm impressed with the echo Tv cube. I had an enormous issue getting it working until I eventually worked out that my pi-hole was blocking it. Fnarr fnarr.
It's a lot more snappy than the PS3 it's replacing and I'll have a play tonight to get it on a fixed IP with the correct DNS so the router can go back to blocking adds. It has all of the Netflix/Hulu/Prime/etc we use, which is nice.
It should also control the cable box, so I'll set that up tonight.

Right, got the cube set up properly now. There's some confusion with the other Alexa in range, but the cube is set now to be the primary, and I can change the name of the other or move her entirely if needed. I still need to smack a cable hole so I can move it to where I'd like it to be ideally, but that can wait.
Especially as with the voice remote you press the button for the command and there's no ambiguity.
Router now back to normal and IP/DNS fixed on the cube itself, pin code setup properly to prevent purchases but not hinder navigation, and cable box now fully integrated with it.
It's a neat solution. I'm very impressed as before with the speed of navigation. As is usually the case, hulu et al could load faster, but they are much quicker than on the PS3, so I'm happy.
Cable integration is slow...but I'm honestly quick tempted to ditch the cable TV entirely.
So all of my entertainment center is now voice controlled. Neat. The one thing I'd like it to do is play files directly off a windows share, and it looks like there may be some third party apps to allow it to do that; investigating. Unless anyone has tried this with a fire stick and know what to do?
