OnePlus 2 - Invites and chatter
Discussion
2 things:
1. Sincere Apologies offered to Mr Ryan
Dead simple I asked if you had an invite available after you posted you had I didn't hear anything and just assumed that it had gone somewhere else. This was back in early October
I hadnt realised till tonight that the email I use on Pistonheads I changed some time ago
so hopefully you see this and accept my apologies for appearing to be ignorant- SORRY !
2. I just got an invite for a one plus two its valid till approx. 2am THURSDAY MORNING its not a sharable one I don't know how or IF I can give it to someone else but if I can and someone can explain how I do that its available to whoever. I know Kinky seems well up on the one plus 2 and how the invite system works so maybe he can advise ?

I, too, have received a non-shareable OnePlus 2 invite. Bit late, mind, as I've taken delivery of an X, and so far I'm quite pleased with it.
The screen is excellent, and it's so fast compared to my previous phone. The camera works well with enough light, haven't extensively tested it. The only thing I really 'miss' is a menu button (used to have back, home, menu/settings); so far I've not run into something I can't do that I could before, though in some cases I have to learn a different way. It's nice to have a phone not full of the manufacturer's nonsense apps/accounts on top of the Google ones; ideally I'd be able to remove some of those too.

The capacitive buttons are still there - it's just that you can't see them The screen is excellent, and it's so fast compared to my previous phone. I know they're there, it's that one button functions completely differently to my previous two Android phones. Also SwiftKey means I keep having double spaces between words, another thing to relearn. Edit- received a shareable OPX invite, free to a good home.

I'm not sure if you are aware but in the settings you can swap the functions of the left and right button over which is a nice feature. Also if you want you can enable on screen buttons so they are easier to see.Edited by RenesisEvo on Friday 20th November 11:57
If anyone's microphone suddenly starts playing up on calls, so the person you call can hardly hear you, but speakerphone is fine, this has fixed it on my OnePlus One.
Google Settings > Search & Now > Voice > "OK Google" detection, on that screen, turn off 'From any screen'.
On the OnePlus and XDA forums there are a lot of posts about it, and lots of stuff about rooting the phone and changing XML files in the phone, then I saw that the OK Google setting can be a fix, and its worked for me. The fault is something to do with a setting deep in the Lollipop system for the noise cancelling microphones not switching.

They have gone from a position of its only a selected few to "any tom dick or harry"
In the meantime I bought a Samsung. I had the pleasure recently of comparing it to a one plus two someone bought without invite via mail order.
The Samsung walks it though obviously it costs more
Personally One plus one/ two etc can stuff their phones and their ludicrous invite system where the sun don't shine. Its a great way of getting interest for their products and gauging demand but on the other hand its a load of marketing hype.
