Out interest, is there an easy way to transfer apps across or do I need to download everything again?
Mine gave me the option to plug into my other phone but I thought I'd do it later so just signed into my gmail account. All my apps started installing! Nice and easy

For anyone trying the VR, apparently its not possible at the moment to view videos from SD so all has to be done from internal memory, although I've read that there's an update coming out. For 360 videos I downloaded off a demo site (not great quality but I'm not expecting much) I had to put _360 at the end of the file name before the extension.

Trying to get an SBS 3D video to play at the moment but not having much luck!

PIcked mine up from Carphone Warehouse this morning - seamless transaction so am sorry to hear others have experienced problems. Just in the process of transferring everything across then will be able to have a play smile

Anyone else get the clearview flip case?
Bit disappointed that the front flap doesn't have anything to keep it shut

Has anyone managed to get a confirmed order of a white version? Like most UK retailers Samsung's website only shows Black and Gold but Expansys(uk) have white ones available for pre-order.

Nobody in the UK or Europe can get white or silver.

That's what it seemed like. Just wondering how they plan on handling these pre-orders.

I didn't even have to plug my S5 and S7 together as it went ahead and transferred by NFC anyway. There are a few apps it didn't transfer all it did do the majority with no problems. It didn't the likes of Autotrader, Dropbox, Lloyds Bank and Speed Test so I'll have to D/L and re-install those.

Christ it recharges fast. From 57% to 100% in about 34 minutes.

I've no idea where to start with the VR kit. I'm assuming it will work with apps and stuff made for Google Cardboard?

Interesting story popped up in my news feed this morning. It stated that the UK spec for the s7 uses a slower processor_ Samsung's own brand_ instead of the qalcom 820 used in the US and East markets.

The AnTuTu benchmarks appear to show the Exynos being slightly lower than the Snapdragon for chip performance, and a much lower GPU score. The Geekbench scores, if I'm reading them right, show the Snapdragon lags behind in the single core test but blows the Exynos chip out the water for multicore performance.

Not out of the box it won't. But you can easily enable it by installing Package Disabler Pro and using it to temporarily disable the Gear VR Service

Parcelforce delivered mine, currently transferring everything across from my S5
Interested in how they compare. May need to upgrade my S5 this year and have been considering moving back to Apple....but a return of the SD card may mean a rethink.

Well that's a bit st.
I'm supposed to get mine tomorrow, but i may wait for HTC or LG to release their phones, based on the fact that they will be using the 820 chipset.

I'm undecided if I care about it or not.

On the one hand, it's unlikely to make a huge difference in my day to day use of the phone, I'm a heavy user in terms to time but not in terms of processor intensive apps. On the other hand, my S6 is really slow considering it's only about 9-10 months old and that's not really good enough. Touchwiz is still one of the worst iterations of Android, at least if there was more processing power it might delay the slowdown.

Oh, add to that I'd be a bit miffed if I payed top dollar for a phone and it wasn't the most powerful one out there. I know thats kind of petty/silly but oh well.

Apparently there is circa 30% difference in GPU performance between the 820 and the Xeynos. I'm guessing that this is going to make a substantial difference when playing games and/or using the VR system.

I actually had no idea how it was supposed to work until I hooked it up. Was pretty blown away, though I can imagine the novelty will wear off quickly. Found a VR Car showroom, which features a Golf GTI, Corvette and a Lincoln

Just got mine. My VR headset is going straight on E-bay. May be worth 5 minutes for novelty factor but then it'll just be plonked in a cupboard never to be seen again.
Would have much preferred the free gift I think EE were offering - wireless Jabra headphones.
