You may well be on the same cabinet as me but you'd never know.
Oh I'd definitely know because my internet speed would be like dial-up due to you uploading and downloading the entire internet every day.

I'm not a photographer, but I still average 4-500GB a month on my home connection.

My letter came today. Before I ring them and argue and threaten to go to Giffgaff for same plan but £20 a month is there any other (better) argument to put forward? I like three and don't want to leave but will if they don't come up with something better than £30/mth for unlimited everything.

I almost went Giff Gaff too, but read the small print about the data. Three actually pointed it out to me when I used it as argument for them to reduce my price. I called Giff Gaff and they confirmed it wasn't 100% unlimited at full speed but thats how they advertise it.

"Our Always On goodybag is designed to give you peace of mind that you'll always have access to data. With Always On you get 6GB of UK data at full 4G speeds and then an unlimited data allowance at a reduced speed (256kbps) from 8am to midnight. From midnight to 7.59am you have an unlimited data allowance at full speed."

What thats saying is you get 6GB of data full speed, anything after that between 8am-midnight is going to be at 256KBP/s but they won't cut you off.

Used the giffgaff £30 argument, ended up with £20 for unlimited data + 30gb tethered, 800 minutes and unlimited texts.

I got my letter, £12.90/month to £20/month including a £3 discount. Hotukdeals has had some better deals recently so think I'll be shopping around. Shame as I don't want to leave 3.

I got my letter at the start of the month, I was on £10.75/month on AYCE data. There were some months I didn't even break 1Gb - the most I used was 4Gb and I've never tethered, so it isn't a usage alarm that sends out the letter.

Ended up staying with Three. When asking to cancel they offered 4gb data, unlimited calls and texts for £12 a month which I cannot complain about too much smile
This is what I did too, phoned up for my PAC code and they offered me this deal.

I get terrible signal at home, my mate can't use EE in my house and I used to be on Vodaphone with a very weak signal - the 3 network is the only one that gives me a good signal, so I'm more or less stuck with them.

My GF received the letter yesterday, she phoned up for her PAC code and got offered £22 for 12GB & 600mins. She declined and asked repeatedly for PAC code and for some reason he wasn't for issuing it, he kept saying 3 are the best, take the new contract etc etc. Even when I spoke to him saying we just want the PAC code and nothing else please, he still stalled.
For some reason he apologised and put us through to the complaints department (not retention) confused.
So on the line came a very pleasant Scottish chap, We said we didn't have a complaint, just wanted a PAC code as there were better value deals out there.
He ended up offering a 12 month sim only deal, 30GB of tetherable data, unlimited mins and unlimited txts for £20, which we accepted, he even credited £13 for some competition entry premium txts that the GF signed up to in error laugh, I was very pleasantly surprised, as they offered me nothing when I cancelled 2 months ago after receiving the letter and I left for BT.

When I originally got a pac 4 weeks ago they won't very forthcoming with deals. I suspect this has lead to an "oh st 90% are leaving in stead of the projected 40%" and they have allowed a bit better deal to be done. When I called this time there was less dicking about and straight to a reasonable offer.

Yeah folk must be leaving in their droves! I'd have happily stayed if they offered me something semi decent, was with them since 2004.

In fairness to them they really helped me out when i called up, they offered me an exclusive deal and even put these details onto their 3 store webpage so i could read the details of the plan, of course so could the rest of the internet which would be annoying for them if they called up to join my exclusive plan but.....................

Oh wait no their just shysters who got caught out.

I still haven't had my letter and told them I'd be waiting to hear about their offers on the iPad Pro to expand my contract. Yes it's coming they say, yes it'll be here they say, yes it's for work they say.

Now it's out, and it's 32gb only. banghead Oh well.

Uswitch and MSE have other deals on that network, which don't show by default on the ID website.
I currently pay £10 for 500 mins, 5000 sms and 4gb data smile

Currently paying £8.99 per month (after cashback) on EE for unlimited mins, unlimited texts and 4 GB on a SIM only deal. That's through mobilesphonesdirect.co.uk although I think I saw the deal initially on moneysupermarket.com. MPD.co.uk have the easiest and simplest cashback redemption thing I've ever used. Just upload PDF bill to their site every other month and the money is BACS'd straight into your account - not like mobiles.co.uk where you have to print off bills and actually send them in the post.

Update. I'm currently paying £15/mth for unlimited everything.

I got letter last week so called to cancel. Stuck to my guns and got offered all sorts of deals. I refused them all and took them to the end and got transferred to 3 different people. Just about to get PAC code when she said "oh one final offer had come up. Unlimited calls and texts and 4gb data for £12/mth".

Fantastic. Ok I've lost unlimited data but I never use that much anyway, it was the unlimited minutes that is important to me.

Think that I've been with 3 for about 6 years now, 2 on one of those mifi dongles and then 4ish on the one plan. My average monthly data use was in the 80g area hehe

Forgot they were killing it and run out of data 6 hours after they automatically swapped my contract to a 1g a month one. After an hour I ended up with unlimited everything with 20g tethering on a £25 monthly rolling contract. Could have had it for £20 if I wanted to do a 12 month contract but didn't want to commit at the time, just needed my phone back online.

How long is the EE contract?
(The ID one is only 30 days)
