Desktop Icons and stuff......

Hello chaps,

Over the last few days each time I restart my laptop, all my desktop icons have gone back to the left hand side of the screen and the recently opened file list in the start menu is empty......

Currently running W2K pro, does anyone have any ideas why this would start happening all of a sudden?

I am running Adaware, Spybot and Spyware Blaster and my AV is upto date and doesn't find any probs....

Last load of updates I did were a couple of weeks ago.

This problem has only been going on for the last few days....

Dunno, but is it possible you've accidentally selected the option to auto-arrange the icons? I'm not familiar with XP but there may be properties controlling the recent document list similar to the internet history ones? Lateral thinking, is your profile stored locally?
