To be honest, there are a couple of things to try. Firstly patch it up - SP1 or even SP2 (XP) first. I hear that some of the latest Fujistu-Siemens notepads require the patches first before the drivers will work.
But the easiest thing is to go to the website and use it to locate the latest drivers. Cant remember the name of the web-check system, but there is an update system which is similar to that of the Microsoft update system - runs an application and checks all the drivers, allowing you to update accordingly.
Worth a try...

Well according to my system info, my 7820 has a SiS 7012 driver for the audio.
Get it here: www.sis.com/download/

XP patched up with the latest.
I have tried to installed the SiS 7012 drivers, but the card isn't working correctly. I go into device manager and there is an excamlation (sp) mark on the device. argh!
Looked at the online spec of the laptop and it shows that there is a Cirrus Logic card CS4299-KQ card installed. Is this true? or is it the Sis 7012?
bugger if i am doing anything free again.

I'm uploading the drivers for the audio off the disk that came with my 7820. Assuming they didn't change the chipset midway through production, it should be the SiS 7012 audio chipset. I'll post up download location details when it's finished uploading (it's about 8MB, and my upload is 128Kb/s )
Just noticed, there is a difference depending on if it's a FH2 or a FH2U version. Mines the U version. I'll upload both sets then you can try them and see if either work.
Right, it's gonna take a while to upload as one is 8MB the other is around 15MB. I'll repost on here when it's done giving you info where to get it.

Can you let me know when you've got the drivers so I can remove them?
Cheers
Steve

Yep I do. Do you want me to burn you a copy and post it to you? Email me your address if you want a copy and I'll run you one off
On the legal side of things, I think this should be OK as it's only a drivers disk!
