I've got a UK shaver socket in my bathroom and wondering if there are any gadgets/converters that allow me to use a USB or 3 pin UK plug socket?
I realise there are issues with voltage differences and needing a fuse, but wondering if anything exists?

Appreciate the help! PH is the fountain of all knowledge, after all.

Yes it's called a US double pin travel adapter.

A desk type fan. Don't ask, there's a logical reason for it!

Oh really? So just a normal multi-travel adaptor will work?
Like this?

So, just use the US pins into the shaver socket then the UK plug into the device?

They arent particularly high powered sockets, like 1 or 3 amps I think. Ours was part of the bathroom mirror and light assembly, you might be able to charge a phone off it but nothing that'd need any kind of juice

Hmm good point. I guess there's no way to increase the power. Logical thing to do would be to replace the wall socket but it's not a permanent thing we're trying to do

Not even that, most are rated at 12-20VA which is around 8Milliamps at 230VAC or 0.08Amps. So a 5VDC USB adapter will be around 1-1.5Amps so doable.

Yes they've always worked for me no problem.
