Anyone else having probs with NTL? I'm using xp pro on broadband and it's like a 56k connection, NTL say everything looks normal but numion shows my browsing speed is less than 14k! I've defragged, run registry cleaner, disk clean up, privicy eraser and adaware. Help

Just called NTL who told me to reboot and strangely it is now at 32 Kb sec down and 4.79 Kb sec up. Don't know what they did but they say the reboot did it which is bollox cos I've done that myself about half a dozen times

Why don't NTL bl**dy tell you that you can have a faster service for the same price.

They are useless.

For info here is the link to upgrade your service.

www.ntlworld.com/data-feeds/editorial/microsites/tierMigration/

I'n my case upgrade of 750KB to 2MB was free. They have changed the download limits - but I only surf PH and access email. So no problems for me. It's made a huge difference.

Before:
Down - 88KB/s
Up = 15KB/s

After:
Down - 240KB/s
Up - 30KB/s

shplendid.
