Hi
I live in private sector university accomodation. I'm meant to have broadband but basically its rubbish. In one of the places we throw our tat there is a load of computery stuff including a white little boxes with nobs on then saying VHF and UHF, some spliters (what they say on the boxes) and a spli-band amplifier or something like that.
If I wake the UHF and VHF (has a volume band getting bigger) up will that improve things.
As it is I find only way to get anywhere is disconnecting from the network and re connecting and repeatedly trying the same website to refresh or load till eventually it does.

Damit. Just thought might be a wireless coonection the uni uses them in some off campus buildings it still owns.
Ahh well worth a try.
Anyother ideas how can improve things?
If I did whip them onto full would it improve flatmatates reception?

Or blow their TV up when there's a thunderstorm in a 50 mile radius.
The multiple refreshing thing will only make it take longer. Not a lot you can do really. Tried calling the helpdesk for whoever does the internet?
