First iPad to update, new 12.9" iPad Pro 128GB, all looked fine until reboot and now the screen won't update - says connect to iTunes.

Am in process of restoring it to 9.3.5 via laptop.

I'm going to wait a few days for the rest . . . !

I've just had something crop up in my newsfeed about that - but haven't read it yet. I never rush in to any iOS or OSX upgrades these days...

Yep got that on my iPad Pro too, waiting to see if my iPhone does the same.

Good thing I made a backup last night!

Hmm. iOS10 has bricked my iPhone 6S too.

Is plugged into my Mac now in recovery mode.

Knew I should have waited until tomorrow to update!

12.9" iPad stuffed - can't restore or reset. Unresponsive. Just sits there demanding iTunes be connected but iTunes can't restore it or upgrade it.

Set my phone off downloading iOS10 a few mins ago and it now says it will be downloaded in 23 mins.

I can't see a cancel option anywhere!!

I presume I can just not install it when it's fully downloaded?

Only just seen this thread now!

I'm doing my devices via iTunes, with a backup first, it's slower, but safer. Having said that I did an OTA update to iOS Golden Master on my development handset (iPhone 6) at work and that was fine.

Hope you get your iPad sorted, it doesn't seem like you are the only one with the issue.

I haven't backed up my phone to my MacBook in months.

I presume it's better for me to back up first into the Mac and then just do the update on the phone afterwards use the software update function?

That's what mine was doing, but does now seem to be doing the "upgrade" back to 9.3.5 after I left iTunes alone for a while; I think it was downloading the 9.3.5 in the background.

So now waiting to see what happens to the iPad.

My iPhone 5S seems to have gone OK.

Just opened iTunes and it's saying that 10.0.1 is available for my iPhone.

Does the .1 part sound like a fix for the problems?

6s borked. Doing the iTunes restore. Not much on it anyway. iPad already running Beta and that is sweet.

No, that's the same as the gold master. You should be ok via iTunes though.

Well that would be fine apart from my iPhone seemed to download the update over wifi in about 25 minutes, but iTunes is saying I have to wait nearly 3 hours for the full 2.35GB to download.... frown

The one gig download took about 6 minutes just before 1800, but I guess everyone is hammering the Apple site now.
