Yes, mine did it around 30%. It's just been sent been from EE having been 'repaired' but apparently all they've done was a 'software update'. I'm not expecting it to be fixed. I'll keep it as an emergency spare or flog it on now I'm using the 3T as my daily phone.
Google customer service just sent me a new phone when mine started doing that.
Mine's an EE handset unfortunately; I get such good discounts it made sense to buy it under contract from them (also it enables things like WiFi Calling). I might speak to Google and see if there's anything they'll do but I don't hold out much hope of that happening.

The mic on my pixel has started to work erratically. It is being replaced under warranty - for a pixel XL.

Just as I was gearing up for the pixel 2 and planning to go for a larger screen size.

When your new Pixel XL arrives, sell it.

Maybe. But I think the Pixel XL will do for me and I will hold off on the pixel 2 XL.

Nice.
I found google's customer service excellent when I had Nexus 4 & 5.
Considering New pixel when it's released.

And it has arrived. It is just like my pixel, but a little bit bigger.

Google USA and Canada are giving away Pixel XL now to replace Nexus XP.

I tried my luck hoping to get my 3rd Nexus replaced with a Pixel XL but another Nexus 6P turned up.

Looks like the original Pixel is gonna be my next phone. I was holding out for the Pixel 2, thinking that it would be an updated version of the original but the same size but it's bigger, as I understand :-/

Yeh looks to be 6" the XL.

I will have had Nexus 6P for 2 years next month, nothing wrong with the phone (I've had 4 replacements mind you haha) but I fancy a new phone, Pixel XL 2 is the only thing that is drawing my attention... but the price.

Well, the screen will be bigger but if they make it look similar to the LG V30 (which they might) then the actual footprint will be much the same.

In fact, I just checked, the current Pixel XL is taller, wider and thicker than the V30 which has an extra 0.5" of screen.

It's my main dislike with the pixel, if you're blatantly going to copy a phone, at least make it better in it's worst aspects.

I went from 6P to OnePlus 3T and it's been great so far. Have you considered the OnePlus 5?

I'm a tech we so also have my eye on the Essential phone and what it will launch for when it hits these shores...

I don't really see the appeal of the Essential phone tbh, what is it that you like about it?

I’m not sure about Funk, but for me the appeal is the design and the construction. I like phones that are a little different and unusual, and the Essential is certainly that. Sadly it sounds like the camera performance isn’t good enough and that’s a deal breaker.

What would you say the worst aspects of the V30 are that the Pixel 2 is copying? Well, if it does indeed end up looking the same. I completely expected the phones to look the same once it was leaked that LG was making it, and I think it’s a great design to copy. My only worry is LGs bad reliability record.

Sorry, I was talking about the Pixel 1 being an iPhone copy (in marketing, pricing and form) and retaining that awful screen to body ratio.

Ahh, yeah that was a disappointment for me too, but the lure of pure Android and excellent camera performance was too good for me to resist.

If this phone is really, really expensive and not truly best in class I might just get an iPhone X.

I'm waiting for the LG now.
The iphone X brings nothing new to the table, again, can't see why anyone who's not held hostage by Apple would buy one unless you get a really good deal on them.

The appeal of the X for me is effortless cross-device integration. I know I can get the same thing from various other apps but it's just that much more straightforward using all Apple.

Also, if the V30, Note 8 and Pixel 2 are all around £850 then I don't see an extra £150 on top as being all that big a deal. They're all enormously expensive, if I can afford one of the Android phones I can probably afford the iPhone.

I bought a Galaxy S8 Plus on Sunday for £666 interest free direct from Samsung. Free VR Headset and controller too. 24 months interest free. So after a £66 deposit was just £24 a month. Doesn't strike me as expensive at all.

Yeah, the S8+ is a bargain for sure, I can't deny that.

I picked the Note 8 as the example though because I see it as bring top of the Samsung tree in much the same way the X is for Apple. It is true though that in practice the S8+ is the phone most will go for unless they really want the S Pen and dual cameras.
