It was a Three issue, I got mine (Pixel 6 on BT), partner dinn't (Pixel 7 on Three) and my work phone didn't (iPhone XR on O2).
However both myself 6 Pro and my daughter (iPhone) on ID mobile (a 3 MVNO) both received them, but but wife (Pixel 6a on Vodafone) didn't.

6 pro but mine was in Welsh though I think it was the top half in Welsh but unfortunately my trigger reflex kicked in and I hit cancel or whatever before my brain could read the English bit, so I have no idea what it actually said. In an emergency situation I'd rather just the English one tbh.

My Pixel 4a 5G on Three did receive the alert but only at 15:19!

Wife's 6a on O2 received it bang on 15:00.

Good luck to whoever has to analyse the data on this.

Luke.

My 6a on Talkmobile did - so it must be a network issue. I did see somewhere that you needed 4G or 5G to get the alert (not sure why). Maybe it's related to that.

My 6 Pro on 3 didn't get it.

Also, I am learning to hate this phone for its rubbish battery and the fact that Google Wallet contactless is so hit and miss on London transport. Means I actually have to carry a credit card, which defeats the point.

Back to Samsung, soon

Mine rang out at 14:59.

Interesting ref problems, I love my P6Pro and apart from a few early glitches (I got it at launch) I'm more than happy with it.

Interestingly the wife has just upgraded from an S21 to a 23 Ultra, I don't think she's that keen, it may well be just going into something new and setting it all up but I've never seen her so stressed and moody about a new phone. Also I was musing over maybe going into an Ultra when my contract is up, must admit even though it' s a similar size to my P6Pro, it just seems much bigger, it's not easy to hold and it's pretty hefty, looks like it will be an 8Pro for me come October.

One things someone may be able to help with, she has tried to put her cards into Google Wallet on the Ultra, only 1 will set up correctly with the NFC logo above the card showing as "live" the others it is greyed out with a cross through it with "Card not set up Finish setup" underneath, she's done everything asked for them to set up; a code from a text, confirming in the card app etc, but still not working, any ideas?

I'm finding my 6pro on WiFi has trouble playing videos on twitter, Reddit, insta, etc. YouTube seems fine. The videos are like they are on dialup as they play for 20 seconds or so and then I get the circular eggtimer thing as it's waiting to download more data. Doesn't happen on 4g or 5g just WiFi. My home internet is FTTP 900Mb. Only thing I can think of is the phone is switching between access points right at the wrong time.

I had 4G signal at the time. I wasn't at home, so the phone wasn't using wifi.

More details about my phone (I didn't receive the alert):
Three network
Pixel 6a
Android 13
Medium strength 4G signal at the time the alert should have arrived.
Not at home, so phone wasn't connected to wifi.
A mile or two South of Haverhill, Suffolk, at the time (visiting someone I know).

I've been thinking about a 7 pro for a few days now and it looks to be a good shout. However, has anyone gone from a Huawei p30 pro to one? I'm also well in with the Chinese overlords with my Huawei watch and earbuds so I need them to work (I know I'll need the AI life app though)

I'd hold off on a 7 pro, the 8 will be announced later this month I believe.

Also, I've sent my 7 pro back to Google this week after problems with the fingerprint reader. I can register as many fingerprints as I want successfully but only the first one will unlock the phone. The rest aren't recognised which is useless.

I have only ever registered one fingerprint and never had a problem. Can you not just use the same finger/thumb?????

Tomorrow's the IO conference so will be interesting to see what the upcoming lineup will be, the jump in tech/features from the Pixel 5 to the 6 was massive yet the 6 to 7 was minor in comparison so hopefully the 8 will be another jump as currently I'm still on the 6 Pro and don't feel any need yet to upgrade.

A video by google showcasing the Pixel folding phone has been up for the past two weeks but it's barely had 1000 views, if it comes out under $1000 then it may be a decent proposition.

I've been following the progress with the Pixel Fold, I have an ageing Huawei tablet and my 6Pro is up for contract renewal in October, so I kind of think a foldable will be a good compromise to replace both, as long as it has a decent camera, however it seems the pricing will likely be very premium, along similar pricing lines as the Galaxy Fold, if that is the case then it will be a no from me.

I'm keen to get a similar camera experience to what I get now and the pixel Pro seems to offer that, the S23 ultra does too, but that's a LOT more money. The next gen will be far and away better (you'd hope) than the 7, but then it's chasing the next top tech and this is a difficult enough decision as it it! hehe

What I have read about is some screen juddering or scrolling problems. Is that a thing?

Is there not going to be a 7A model? I have a 4A just now which is starting to get a bit flaky, I prefer the neater size and lower price point of the A models so was hoping there'd be a 7A as a nice jump up from my current phone.

7A should get announce at Google IO later today. Better screen, better camera sensor, probably a bit more cost than is usal for an A but that's all rumour for now.

Still on a 5, was looking at a 7 and now waiting for an 8 although was tempted by the standard size S23 ... apart from the price!
