My 7 Pro was very similar to my 6 Pro but after an update some time ago I seem to be getting considerably better battery life.

A Pixel 7 Pro question, well more of a Microsoft Outlook email question. Is there any reason why some emails will not send to people using Outlook? I have sent, or tried to send, emails to various customers and am getting back a message 12 hours or so later saying that delivery has failed. I sent myself an email from the Outlook account to my Gmail account and all went well. It isn't an issue I get with my laptop. Thanks in advance.
What sort of e-mail account do you have (POP3 / IMAP / Gmail / Exchange or Office 365 / etc)?
It is Microsoft Office 365.

Yup - I am getting an easy 2 days out of it which I could stretch to 3 if I baby things along.

Pixel 6 is off to EE store later for repair, in anticipation that it will be there a few days I've started installing apps I need on my work iPhone XR.

The Pixel 8 was a good deal but cant justify it really with up coming wedding to pay for and the money I have saved could be put towards new motorbike exhausts haha.

So been using my work iPhone for 24 hours now while the Pixel is away, cant wait for my Pixel to come back! its mainly getting used to all the different gestures that are a pain, but also its a 2020 iPhone XR with 86% battery health but the battery dies a lot quicker than my Pixel 6.

I will miss the mute button on side though.

I'm with you on that one, my work phone is an iPhone 14 something and I can't stand it.

Chances are if it's liquid ingress that's caused the problem it won't be a warranty repair (from reading on the Pixel sub on Reddit the ip68 rating only means it's water resistant not waterproof, plus those ratings are for fresh water, if the liquid damage indicator has been triggered then it's not covered under warranty - just checked, Apple and Samsung have the same policy also if the LDI has triggered)

Crossing my fingers for you it's just the speaker that's copped it and not internally thumbup

Its on its way back apparently, I got a text doesn't say if its repaired or what.

The phone at the time was standing up, little one squirted a few drops of milk on it which ran down the screen and collected at the bottom, was sat in it for all of two seconds.

That seems like incredibly bad luck!

Yep, I'm hoping its fixed when it comes back hopefully today, if not then will be purchasing a P8 tonight as that offer still seems to be on at moment even though it said Jan only.

I'm annoyed with the P8P's Face Unlock which seems to rarely work except in the best of lighting conditions. It wouldn't be so bad if the fingerprint scanner worked well but that's intermittently st too - it REALLY needs to be ultrasonic rather than optical. The number of times I end up having to put in the unlock pattern I might as well just use that in the first place.

How do Google get such a fundamental part of the phone interaction so wrong? It's probably the biggest irritant about the phone and unfortunately it's something that irks me many, many times per day.

Not sure about the P8 but the face unlock and fingerprint work flawlessly with my P7 Pro.

So the Pixel does appear to be fixed speaker wise although the speaker on my work iPhone XR are still quite a bit louder with music turned up full on both.

The issue of the missing clock on the lockscreen/always on display is still there even though its been factory reset again.

Back on to Google support following the repair of my Pixel 6 a few weeks ago.

We make a lot of video calls using Google Meet to my mum/sister so they can see my 19 month old son, noticed its still very quiet even on full volume. So today we cut the video off and called back on my partners Pixel 7 and that was twice as loud!

Google have agreed to send a replacement phone which should be here in two days time, fingers crossed that is louder.

My replacement phone turned up today so set it all up, tried video calls and it's 100% louder than the other one. This phone also doesn't seem to have the annoying bug where the clock doesn't display so happy days.

Time for a new phone, currently have a Samsung S21U.

Have been looking at the OnePlus12 and laterly the Pixel 8 Pro.

Im seeing a lot of complaints about the P8Pro regarding the poor battery life and also issues with the 5g modem - poor signal strengths and hunting for 5g channels which appear to affect the battery. I also see that Wifi calling seems to suffer from drop outs if the call is of long duration.

What are owners experience of the above?
