Hi all

Right, mucho head-scratchin' here...

I have an HP ipaq Pocket PC, which is great....until the battery goes flat and I lose anything & everything I have stored in it.

Any ideas? or is it bucket material?

Nope, not quite. When you run it down (unless it's a recent model) it loses all it's memory. You simply when you've charged it back up, have a 'new' ipaq again.

Trick is, keep it plugged into the cradle - or get an Expansion Pack to give it a longer life...

Just make sure you regularly use the backup facility on Activesync. Takes seconds and will restore the pda to how it was (in theory anyway). I usually do a backup on the memory card too.

Is it a 5500? if so mine has had the same problem, phone HP and they will take you thru sorting the charge and then downloading a patch that fix's it.

I did not have a mains charger (just the cradle) and could not sort out the re-boot and it went back to HP, came back in two days all fixed and updated.
