Vodafone has still not updated me or changed the order status on there online tracker. Anyone else with them had an update?

not heard anything from O2 this morning
The consignment with DPD still not been picked up.
I will complain if phone is not delivered tomorrow, may at least get a bill discount lol

Well I've just had a despatch email from Carphone Warehouse with a DPD tracking number.

The only trouble is, the tracking number relates to a random name and address and was delivered in September 2016. Great!

I'll get on the phone to them shortly. Hopefully it's just an error somewhere in their system and it will arrive tomorrow, as expected.

Vodafone's generally pretty useless online chat has now given me some hope despite their twitter feed suggesting they have delays:

"I would like to inform you that DPD will send a confirmation consignment number to your number before 3-4 hours."

I just received a text from ' saying my order would be delivered 20 Apr by DPD.

I presume this is EE telling me about my S8.

I've also got an S8+ on per-order with Carphone Warehouse, but have heard nothing since placing the order... Will call them today

Tried calling twice with no answer. The website still says guaranteed delivery tomorrow though, so fingers crossed.

I'm tempted by a shell/cover (dropped my Nexus twice), but wondering if it will lose the 'edge' part. Anyone got any links?

This is probably the thinnest you can get. Go on Amazon and type 'Galaxy S8 Spigen' and choose the one you fancy as they have ones of various thickness/protection

You're not alone - not dropping stuff simply isn't that difficult - always make sure it's in your pocket before letting go and dont walk around with it in your hand the whole time! It's not going to jump out of your hand

I'm careful with stuff but still drop my phone from time to time.

I have a Spigen chinese copy and screen protector on my S6.
The screen protector has some scratches and cracks.
The case has a few scuffs.
The phone is mint underneath.

Plus it doesn't really look bad, if you don't have a case and screen protector you're a bit of a maverick!!

i want to be careful as they are investigating what has been said and come back to me but in short the complete opposite..... i pre ordered mine on the 31st March.... as of today they weren't able to give a definitive date when i'd get my S8+

Well it would appear that DPD recycle their tracking numbers. Just checked again and it's updated - collected from senders at 3pm and on it's way for delivery tomorrow! Yay.

This is a Carphone Warehouse order btw...

Well for those who haven't heard anything or had their dispatched email, I've just heard that this is because the phones have been sat at the couriers for a while and they haven't got round to scanning each one into their system yet. Seems plausible

Go to the Vodafone forums and more people are being told by Vodafone that it's a Samsung supply chain issue.

I think something different but untill Friday i cant nuclear and start my ranting (cause I'm hoping someone is going to sort this out)

You see my earlier post? They did this with the S7 to a pile of customers last year including my GF, hopefully you boys get yours before people can walk in off the street and pick them up on general release date.
They told my GF it was a stock issue but the stores had plenty. They should have pulled all stock out of the stores to honour pre-orders but then they might have missed out on new customers. aholes.
