Samsung Galaxy S8
Discussion
I've upgraded from an LG G4 (also have a Nexus 5x work phone) and find the S8+ a massive upgrade from both.
So far, the battery is lasting better than expected, even watching streaming video a lot.
Was a bit hesitant because I hated Samsung's customizations and launcher on the S4, but the s8+ tweaks are much more subtle.

Okay I have a question for the new s8+ owners. How the hell do you turn off the navigation bar when you are watching films/videos?
I've been through every setting I can find. It doesn't make sense to me that a company gets rid of the hardware buttons and puts software buttons in their place with a beautifully big screen, only to force that screen to dedicate a large band to the buttons even when they obviously aren't required. It just seems to be a waste.

On most devices they hide them automatically when full screening an app, what app are you using?I've been through every setting I can find. Where have all the files gone that were in my private mode on s6 when it transferred to s8? I've looked in the secure folder and nothing is in there!
I'm pretty sure they don't move over, I had this when I backed my S6 up and factory reset as advised by Samsung.. It didn't back anything up from in Private. vsonix said:

Perhaps you accidentally activated some settings that changed something.
The camera on my S5 was already head and shoulders better than any phone camera I've had since my old Nokia N8. The 7 builds on that with more tweakability and manual control, better HDR and better night time performance.
I came from a Lumia 1020 so that kind of spoiled me, however, when I first got my S7 Edge the camera was fine. At some point it started over sharpening everything and adding some sort of noise filter to peoples faces. It's not every photo though, just whenever it feels like it. It's somewhat frustrating. I use auto mode most of the time. The camera on my S5 was already head and shoulders better than any phone camera I've had since my old Nokia N8. If you were viewing them on a Win10 PC in the Photos app, there's a toggle at the top that's enabled by default; 'enhance'. It makes your photos look terrible. I've just disabled it and all my photos look much, much better.

This bloody thing is like trying to hold a bar of soap, what cases are everyone using, something you can leave your phone in when it's on the dashboard mount?
Spigen Thinarmour is good. But doesn't work with screen protector.
The protector screen has a formed edge which means its sticks in jus the right position

Would you be able to find out please. The protector screen has a formed edge which means its sticks in jus the right position
I suspect it's an Olixar one but it's £25 quid.
I've tried 3 different ones and no joy
Gave up and got a different case in the end.
