Hi all,

Is there a way to configure my iPhone 6S cut tethering when a predefined data limit usage is reached?

I have 4GB limit on my contract and Three won't cut it when I reach it, they just let me continue racking up a bill. I usually catch my usage in time before I reach the limit but not always...

Cheers

Not sure you can on the iPhone (unlike android). If you always tether to the same pic and it runs windows 10 then the metered connection settings on the pc might help.

thanks. I was hoping to be able to have it cut off when the limit was reached so that I didn't go over it. it's for an iPad rather than Win10

IF its a concern because of cost, i believe 02 (and maybe others?) send texts when you are nearing your allowance, and if you do exceed it, they throttle the speed, rather that just start charging you for additional data.

Not sure if thats what you are asking though.

The app Power Clean allows you to set a limit and set up a notification of data used on a monthly basis.

My provider has a fixed setting, and I get texts at 80 or 100%, maybe the provider can help out?
