Am I right in thinking that even if one goes back and edits one's forum posts to contain a link to the .html page for a PB image, rather than embedding the image directly (3rd party hosting style), that PB still does not allow viewers to see the image?

For example, if you click on this, can you see the photo, or get the PB error?

Just tested that URL above in Internet Explorer (not logged into my PB) rather than Chrome. PB showed me the error pic instead of the correct photo, and also kindly served me a "sponsored links" page with 8 clickbait bullst headlines AND separate popup window pointing to dateeurowomen.com "Find beautiful Russian Women". They must be so desperate for money now that they're hosting these BS adverts?!

Same issue on chrome unfortunately.

I suspect they have just wiped it all.

I just get the "please update your account..." image - my custom ad blocking solution kills everything they try to serve up.

Additionally, their site throws privacy badger into overdrive with 32 potential trackers.

Ironically thumbsnap seemed to be broken while trying to upload an image (so I put it on my own server)

Just seems to be a money grab with little to no concern over how it affects their business long term.
It's really annoying now searching archive posts on all kinds of forums which were once great sources of information now broken.

I've deleted everything I dont need from my Photobucket, I'm left with a couple of albums I want to keep, but I cant download them. Each time I click download album, do the verify thing then it just says something went wrong and to try again. I try again and it doesnt do anything.

Any suggestions? Anyone had similar? I really dont want to have to go through 200 pictures one by one if I can help it.
I also deleted everything. It was a long and slow process as I kept deletions to about 20 images at a time. I tried to download a few images and a big sign came up saying that I needed to update Flash Player as it was out of date.

No, it isn't. I can check what's been downloaded and updated.

I'm puzzled as to why a couple of thumbnail sized avatars I have on other forums are still up and running. Nothing else works for me though.

They could be cached somewhere.

Some forum software has it's own local cache, which can usually store images for up to 30 days (usually configurable).

Additionally - the server could also be configured to explore caching in the user's browser - so if your browser history and cache were flushed, the (locally stored) images would disappear.

On a PC hitting CTRL F5 would also force a hard reload and clear any (locally) cached images.

I've posted nearly 7,000 photos on the "camera captures" thread since 2008. All that's been lost.

Photobucket can go hang.

I spent a couple of hours this morning deleting stuff that wasn't important, now I've just got to grab stuff I want. I do have it on an external drive somewhere if I really needed it but would have to buy a caddy
Does anyone know a way to download an album with the iPhone app? I've given up trying on my Mac

DELETED: Comment made by a member who's account has been deleted.
The images are still there, I clicked on one of mine and the image came up, downloading was possible.

What was the T+C when you signed up......

Bailed out years ago before they enacted the new terms where they also have rights to you pics.

So I couldnt download albums, had to do them all one by one. Still, got them now, deleted the account. Need a new site to host forum pictures now.
