Strange. Says I have 10gb of storage too when the free accounts are 2gb. Definitely not paid for anything.
Have you downloaded the PB app? you get an extra 8gb of storage if you do. The pricing plans (per month) are $5.99 for 52gb, $9.99 for 102gb and $39.99 for 502gb.

I like Smugmug. It's paid, but nowhere near what Photobucket wants.

Well they've killed all my links so time to go through a thread or 2 and reupload pics.

This is 100% the death of PB.

I've just woke up to find the same problem. Won't take long with a few beers later

Stopped working today.

Like a lot of people, I've used Photobucket to embed Photobucket IMG links into posts. As of today, Photobucket want $399!!!!! per year to be able to do this. As a result every image I've posted on this site has just disappeared.

I would have considered paying $39 per year but $399 for something imgur.com still does for free is ridiculous. Seem like Photobucket are intent on pricing themselves out of business. I've closed my Photobucket account.

I've always thought it complete ste and that's just as a reader of threads - not a user! If ever you click on a pic to look at larger, it takes you to their site which is horrendous. That's how you know they're ste hence I've never used them, just use google photos.

All my good PH write ups aren't working anymore.

Japan: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=12...

Banger Rally: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=13...

Euro trip: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=12...

TBH, I haven't got the motivation to re-upload elsewhere.

Yep, that and technical write ups that people have done over time. Big knock on effect and obviously PB knew this when they introduced the fee, expecting people to pay out of necessity.

I think they've fked up. People pay for what they want online, not what they're forced to pay for. Those who are bothered will simply rehost and move on. Photobucket will slowly die. Idiots.

Absolute piss take if it doesn't work. Is there an easy way to download all my images? Haven't done a backup of the Photobucket for a while.

If they think I'm going to pay $399 per annum for for image embedding they've made a serious miscalculation. If they'd been less greedy and charged a tenth of that, I would have considered it. Nobody is going to pay that sort of money for something you can get for free elsewhere.

Goodbye Photobucket. You are finished.

Flickr isn't free once you go over your small storage limit. Well I say "small" - it is if you like your hi-res photos but if you only take photos in potato resolution then I suppose it would last a while.
I get 1 terabyte free??!!

I wonder if it is some kind of reverse marketing nonsense?
They will back down in a few days having got their name plastered all over the internet or possibly reduce the price drastically but still manage to charge

My response. Funnily enough, I stopped using them a couple of months ago (now imgur), but have no reason to keep photos on there if no one can see them. Their site was unusable on my laptop and it took me 30 attempts on my phone to get to my account settings to delete (constant "winning" of Apple products spam).
