What to replace AirPort Extreme with?

I know how pistonheads likes to have a thread closed.

Ended up not buying one of the 2 short listed options above. Ended up buying a asus dsl-ac88u.

Took no time to set up and has given me extra couple meg on a speed test and dropped my ping from 40 to 25 on speed tests.

If anyone wants more info feel free to ask.

Does that cover dsl versions? As all the non asus firmware i can find only covers routers.

Those are for the rt versions and have no mention of supporting the dsl-ac88u.

Yeah, don't do that. The modem won't work with tomato or Merlin and consequently the rest of it won't be well tested.
