Sorry I have not read the whole thread but has the repair cost been brought up yet?

I just read that if you were to break both bits of glass, ( not very likely I suppose?) you could be looking at an £800 repair bill!!

I guess that is what insurance I should for, but...wow!!
So that design everyone harps on about will mostly be hidden in some god awful rubber case.

It probably won't be that unlikely. There's a couple of videos around already demonstrating how weak the X is.

All my phones are protected by 4lbs of reinforced rubber. It sucks but I haven’t broken a screen yet. That includes my son throwing it off the second floor into a hard wood floor.

You can whinge all you want but they are desirable, as evidenced by them making more money than any other company does by a long margin and probably will whilst we are still breathing biggrin

By the way I use a bag to carry the phone around. It won’t fit in my pocket.

I still keep mine in the original packaging.
I find this is the best way to keep it safe. ofc being the apple packaging it is designed way better than the naff non-apple covers you can get. How else do you think they can get the iphone x to you in such perfect condition from the other side of the world!

For anyone interested this little ditty is hidden in the Apple website and I confirmed it exists when in an Apple store yesterday.

https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/iphone/payments/over...

Basically interest free purchase of the phones over 20 months.

This unlocked phone (say £46 for an X 64gb or £31.50 for an 8) combined with a cheap sim deal (I pay £20 for 20gb for example) is a good way of getting an 8 or X. And why wouldn’t someone spread the payments at zero percent?!

No downside that I can see other than it’s only available in store.

This is not the iPhone upgrade programme it’s just interest free credit.

That's not like Apple at all! The interest used to be worse than a credit card!
