It was a huge problem with mine - call quality was awful. It's all to do with the front flap being folded around the back and over the camera lens to make a call. Within that lens is a microphone that monitors background noise - the covering of it during a call caused the problem. No case - perfect sound.

The X is the first iPhone in years that actually looks like it was released in the right year.
If they have a problem with sales, they can just drop the price a couple of hundreds.

My guess is that the new iPhone (9 or 11) will look like the iPhone X but won't be called X(S).

That way they "drop" the X, in name only. They should actually discontinue the main line of phones, and replace it with the X.
A lot of people that didn't get the X because of price will then be convinced they can get an "X" for a lower price.

Basically it would be dropping the price of the phone without losing face, which is by far the most important thing for Apple at all times.

I don't suppose Apple will want to alienate buyers who paid full price for the X by dropping the price after 12 months.

As someone who always buys the latest phone, it will be interesting to see what comes next - if it's an X-Lite (apologies) then that wouldn't attract me but may help to drive more to the X?
