The Steam store have an offer on the link and controller at 65% Off, so I’ve ordered one just to play half life on my big telly in the living room!

How much is the delivery? I thought Valve hammered you for those charges?http://store.steampowered.com/sale/controllergames...

I've got a Steam Link (payed nearly 4 times that last year) and it's a very useful bit of kit. And the controller is supposed to be very good.

Shipping was £8 Odd, I thought that wasn’t too bad.I've got a Steam Link (payed nearly 4 times that last year) and it's a very useful bit of kit. And the controller is supposed to be very good.
The whole order inc shipping and vat came to less than £40 in total, I normally pay more than that for one game on the Xbox One!
I’m happy with my Black Friday bargain!

The steam controller at first is horrible. Tweai it, use it and eventually its good, after a couple months of getting used to it. I went back to a mouse and keyboard oh my homemwde lapboard.
I assumed it would be better than using just the keyboard for movement, I’ve always hated that! What do you have to tweak on the controller settings specifically?
I assume there’s lots of guidance on the steam user community section?
I just haven’t bothered looking that deep into it yet!

What do you use those Harmony remotes for - other than simplification of multiple remotes? Starting to consider one with a Virgin remote, TV remote, Fire TV Stick remote and potentially a soundbar purchase on the horizon.
Well, I believe the newer ones now can manage all kinds of 'smart home' things, but for me it is mostly about not having to dive around the many remotes (TIVO, TV, Amp, DVD, projector etc!). As well as 'emulating' those remotes, you can also do multiple tasks with one command - eg, "watch film" could turn on DVD, Projector, amp(set to Projector), turn off TV......

I mainly want one because the power button for my amp controller is broken. Be nice to control the Sky, amp and Amazon box with one controller instead of 3tog said:
Has anyone seen any good deals on an electric drill/driver?
There is a Ryobi one on Amazon. Any good? I've had a Makita for the last ten years or more, but the old batteries are on their last legs now so I can justify a replacement. A torch that takes the same batteries would be a bonus too.
I bought some tools from www.uktoolcentre.co.uk in their BF sale, they had some good prices on drills. There is a Ryobi one on Amazon. Any good? I have some Ryobi kit, works well. I have a variety of torches and lamps that work with the same batteries, including a really useful area light.

Should be, also me and any other Sonos Resellers.
Does anyone know for definite if the Sonos price reductions are permanent and not just for Black Friday?Amazon says "New everyday low price" and Sonos website says "New lower price" which implies they are, but a lot of sites are advertising it as a black friday deal such as John Lewis.
I wanted to make my first foray into Songs, but there is no rush and will probably leave it until after xmas unless the price reductions are for this weekend only.
I'm thinking about 2 Play-1's ,or possibly a Play-3 instead for now.

Seems highly likely as the Sonosne which has voice control is £199 so the Play-1 will have to be less than that. Amazon says "New everyday low price" and Sonos website says "New lower price" which implies they are, but a lot of sites are advertising it as a black friday deal such as John Lewis.

Yes, Play:1 and :3 both on permanent price reduction.Amazon says "New everyday low price" and Sonos website says "New lower price" which implies they are, but a lot of sites are advertising it as a black friday deal such as John Lewis.

Thoroughly unimpressed by BF this year..
Ditto. Just seems to be lots of 20% discounts rather than massive savings which most of the companies do from time to time anyway. However, did save 99% on this: https://www.pluginboutique.com/products/1545-Hybri...
