Hi folks

My wife's phone contract is running out soon. She has a Samsung J5 at the moment and is wIth EE and looking for something similar. She would like to keep the same number and pay not more than (say) £25 per month. Any recommendations appreciated.

Thanks

My EE contract recently expired and when I called they offered 4GB and 2000+ minutes at £8.50 a month.

The deal includes free roaming to Europe & the USA.

Call them.

The 4G isn't a big issue, but it looks like you can't tether either, I might need to cancel in that case.

GiffGaff are generally a good sim-only option, I thought?
Ours are EE, but they matched giffgaff after some haggling!!

Where does it say that?

I checked the terms and conditions and I can find no mention of it.

I couldn't see that either, but I did find the tethering bit.

The 100GB data is 4g as far as I can see ... it is a 5x data deal for the lifetime of the contract. The 20GB is most definiitely all 4G.

No tethering is standard on all Virgin contracts.

Read it on Techradar the other day

There is a catch however, we're afraid. We've taken a look through Virgin's acceptable use policy (a real page turner) and found that after you've used up your first 3.5GB in a calendar month, your data use will be restricted to 3G speeds. According to Virgin Mobile, 3.5GB is the equivalent of around 16 hours of high quality video. So you'll have mountains of data, but without the sheer speed of 4G.

we have a mobile phone that we don't use. A Motorola that I bought 3 years ago. We don't use any other phone apart from the house phone. As we are going touring the EU in 2 months, I would feel more "safe" if we had the mobile up n running. Perhaps a payg or???

Suggestions anyone

1GB data
1000 minutes
Unlimited texts
£4 a month for 12 months

http://store.virginmedia.com/virgin-media-mobile/a...

If you can get away with that amount of data and minutes, is there anything cheaper?

3's PAYG SIM, 1p per Mb data, 2p per text, 3p per min for calls. £10 initial top up then £5 min for subsequent top ups. A tenner is probably all you'd need for emergency use on a foreign holiday.
