When I went from Apple to Android, had no issues registering Natwest. Downloaded the app, entered my details, they asked me to confirm my mobile, text me a code, app worked fine.

Never had an issue using multiple banking apps on multiple devices at once
My issue would be that the app (whilst widely available) is usually accessed whilst Im in Australia, now Im in the UK and trying to gain access from UK device, Australian companies are a bit nervous about this stuff.

The device would be agnostic they all come from china/Korea anyway but it could be an issue with play store location or network provider

I transferred my data effortlessly using Google drive.

Just a standard backup to iCloud?

And then restore WhatsApp on the new device and it restores from the backup?

I couldn’t stand the lag so returned the handset for an iPhone X. Shame really as the camera, look and feel was fantastic. Amazing price too.

I had a play with a P20 demo phone in my local store and it displayed the same trait.

I changed from a Samsung S7 edge and notice no lag. The camera is great and the battery is miles better than the S7.

I'm old though so may just not notice the lag smile

I've not noticed any lag either. What were you doing to show that?

To be fair a few of the guys in O2 didn’t notice it either, interestingly, it was only when an iPhone user picked it up he understood what I was talking about.

Perhaps if you’re upgrading from another android device it’s not as noticeable.

I really struggled in two areas.

Firstly the picture gallery. When swiping between pictures there was a noticeable judder. Didn’t change when the resolution of the pictures was reduced nor could I find any third party app which eliminated it.

Secondly there was a noticeable judder when scrolling websites. I got into the developer settings and reduced the animation but it made little or no difference.

On a side note I use my phone to view large PDF files and the download times on the P20 was rather slow too.

Shame as the camera was great and my twilight edition looked fantastic

Well ive just came from iphone and if anything my P20 pro seems much quicker than my old phone. Have no issues with my work e-mail, photos etc...still getting used to the Android way of things.

I did read somewhere on another forum someone complaining about lag but all they had to do was a factory reset and the phone seemed to work fine...maybe just some software issues in the background!

Trying to use Nova launcher but getting a bit confused, any good guides or what are peoples preferences on icon packs?!

The only area so far where i've found things to look a little 'slower' is when scrolling on facebook - the page doesn't seem to move as smoothly.

I don't think it's lag per se, it's just different to the apple version.

Otherwise the move has been pretty smooth so far.

Got all my photos from iphone over, along with contacts and diary entries.

Things i'm still working on....

Transferring whatsapp & all picture / video media within the chats. Looks like I might have to use a paid for app.

Doesn't seem possible to share an IOS calendar with a non IOS user so i'll be convincing the wife to switch to google calendar.

I think that's all so far.

Google Drive.

Downloaded onto the old iphone - there's an option to back up.

Then logged in on the p20 and it magically did everything.

The only thing i'm trying to sort now is the photos are stored in google drive as opposed to on the device but i think i can sort hat with a bit of manual intervention.

Slightly off topic, but my iphone is not registering with itunes, so I cant do a full back up, it registers the allow access, but no longer does the query about do I trust this computer, how do I get it back in sync with iTunes (fully up-to-date) as I want a final iPhone backup before I try anything more.

Perfect.

I may be stupid here but when the phone is locked and i press the home key nothing happens? If i keep my finger on it, it vibrates but it doesn't 'wake up' the phone? The only way i can do this is by pressing the power button? Have i missed a setting somewhere as with the iphone i just touch the home button and it wakes up my phone showing me any notifications...!

It's in the settings somewhere. Just tried mine, can wake/unlock wither with fingerprint or faceunlock.
Thanks, had a look again and only way i can do it is by setting the fingerprint to not unlock when pressed...so it'll only wake and then if i want to unlock i use the face or PIN! That'll do for now..!
