Perfect.
I may be stupid here but when the phone is locked and i press the home key nothing happens? If i keep my finger on it, it vibrates but it doesn't 'wake up' the phone? The only way i can do this is by pressing the power button? Have i missed a setting somewhere as with the iphone i just touch the home button and it wakes up my phone showing me any notifications...!
Have you set your fingerprint? Mine does that if I use the 'wrong' finger (i.e. vibrates but doesn't wake up), but if I touch it with my thumb, for which I've set up the print scan, it opens instantly.I may be stupid here but when the phone is locked and i press the home key nothing happens? How are people getting on with their p20 pros? I’m especially interested in those who made the leap from iPhone - I’m tempted!
I came form Iphone. Just about getting used to Android.
The phone it self seems pretty damn good, the camera is fantastic.
But I still don't think it's all quite as slick as an iphone.
However.... Ipaid nothing up front and now pay £35 a month for 30gb of data. The cheapest Iphone X deal is about £1400 for a similar package.
The difference in performance is nowhere near £500.

I went from a Lumia 950xl to the P20 Pro. Screen is superb on the P20 even though it's not QHD. Easily readable outside. After 5yrs of Windows phone, getting used to Android slowly. Battery life is amazing. Took it off charge yesterday morning about 9am and it's on 24% as I type this, so nearly 2 full days of use. Got lots of use yesterday with Twitter, bookface, Instagram and Flightradar (joy of holiday under the flightpath to schkipol(so) airport). So far I'm impressed with it.
Thanks to this thread I had a look at these, having seen a colleague receive one and knowing how lovely they are, and accidentally signed up to a 24m EE contract, 30gb Data and unlimited texts and minutes for £36/month, no upfront cost... It's at Order Status Dispatched... Ruddy cheap I feel though, Huawei must be throwing them at people, and doing the maths the EE contract part is costing £2.70 a month, all I am paying is the finance for the cost of the phone + £64 for 24 months of contract, which seems like good man maths (£26 extra a month once I'm not paying £10 a month to ID)
Farewell Nexus 6p, you have been ace! Also farewell ID mobile who haven't been too bad either, best call for me PAC code later

I'm enjoying the phone - Battery life is a bit hit and miss sometimes, but if I stay away from games (the only one I play is Clash of Clans really) battery life can leave me with 40% odd at the end of the day (6am-7pm)
However, I've noticed that some apps have battery/usage issues. Every now and then, I get a warning that *app* (often facebook) is consuming battery by using bluetooth. I've turned off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth background scanning but this seems to make no difference....
Any thoughts?
