I need another charger and bought some cables on amazon which wouldn't charge - they worked, then stopped, then worked, then stopped. The problem was the cable, not my mains adapter, so they went in the bin.

Has anyone got a link to cables that actually work?

Have a go at these;

I got a pack three weeks ago and all still work.
Weirdly enough, those are exactly the ones I bought and they don't work...

When you have it working, give me a shout, Im worried about losing my financial apps that I cant afford for them to stop working for a few weeks whilst I work it out.
You won't be able to move the apps (from the apple store), but I'd take note of what you have and make sure you've got login details, etc.

Have you got a google play account yet? Set one up before you migrate as you'll be prompted to set one up - In addition, once the phone's up and running, you can then go online on to the Google Play store and "send" applications to your phone (you search, choose and then install to your device when it asks you where you want to send it - This will only work AFTER your account is associated to your phone.

I've not noticed any lag either. What were you doing to show that?

I keep accidentally activating the "steps" screen - Also, I keep getting prompts for the multi-touch set up which I really, really don't need and can't disable...

How's everyone's OEM screen protector doing?

Mine's got a slight scratch on it and is coming away slightly near the camera - holding up well but there's no way it'll last the 2 years of my contract....

I'm enjoying the phone - Battery life is a bit hit and miss sometimes, but if I stay away from games (the only one I play is Clash of Clans really) battery life can leave me with 40% odd at the end of the day (6am-7pm)

However, I've noticed that some apps have battery/usage issues. Every now and then, I get a warning that *app* (often facebook) is consuming battery by using bluetooth. I've turned off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth background scanning but this seems to make no difference....

Any thoughts?

Battery life seems a little hit and miss, but yesterday it was definetly a hit. I wasn't on it much and hardly played games (Clash of Clans) like I normally do and when I got home (off charge at 6am, home at 6pm), it was at 60%. After a bit of playing games and video watching in bed, it was at 35% at 11 - I guess it shows how much the battery is hammered by games...

As an aside - I've got a temporary car, a Vauxhall Crossland X (A truly abysmal car by all standards) and whenever I connect over Bluetooth, I have to manually enable the Media profile every time otherwise I can't play music/podcasts, etc. Is it just me?

Unless that is US market only?
I've just "requested" an update through the HiCare app and it's showing at being "up to date" with 8.1 frown

Ahh, sorry - I've had about 3 hours sleep and my brain is fried...

ETA - I've installed it and it's showing there for the P20 Pro as version 9.0.0.168

Nothing OTA yet though.

I'm an Apple user.....with an aging 6s. Have been tempted by these, but was wondering what the after care is like?

Apple tend to be pretty good the few times I've had to use them.

I had an early generation Samsung device (s3 I think) and the after care was shocking by comparison - but appreciate that things have moved on in the years since....
That might be with your provider - I have an O2 business account and I know that with any failure, I'd get a next day replacement...
