Mine has slowly come away above the front facing camera over a month or so, also by the finger print sensor. I ordered a screen protector about a month ago but only fitted it last night and I must say it's the best screen protector I've had to date. I also ordered 2 but they sent 8 for some reason.

Anyway, i just peeled it off rather easy to be honest just picked at it with my finger and it came off very easy.
Which screen protector did you order? as in the past I have found them hit and miss. My factory fitted protector needs to be replaced.
I went for this 8 pack in November (not sure why I ordered so many) but they are great. I've actually got 6 spare if you want to few!

I've just been to a Gymnastics competition and I've got a question about image stabilization whilst recording a video and how bad it is: This is the video:

https://youtu.be/0b6Vo9ZsT3M

Am on Android 9.0 and it's in 4k (apparently) and it's really shaky.

This was last year and as you can see, it's significantly smoother:

Exactly the same venue totally different quality. Has anyone else got this problem - or noticed it? And can I fix it?

I've sussed it. I recorded in 4k mode which doesn't have or do image stabilization - all other modes do.

Hopefully after the meeting between China and the USA, the problem with Huawei will be sorted. I'm really impressed with the P30 , but I'm holding back until I find out if they can still use Android software.

Had to buy a laptop recently. Was really impressed with the Huawei’s offering. I got a Mac (under pressure from SWMBO) who wanted a Mac anyway, I had no argument. Shame. I would love a P20/30 for the camera. Again, let’s see what the Americans do...

P30 is not affected by the android/Huawei issue.

There's an announcement on Tesco mobile site on how functionality and updates on new handsets cant be guaranteed after August unless the issue is rectified.

Interesting, I haven't had any heating issues with my phone. My old ZTE did occasionally if any games were played whilst it was charging.

It has been pretty hot here in Croatia and mine has worked flawlessly.

I'm pretty sure that relates to newly released handsets post August.

But if you're after a p30 you'll be fine, even if you wait until January next year to purchase, for example.

Honestly, the whole US Entity list is a nonsense. It's just Trump creating a bargening chip in it's trade negotiation with China. He has already announced that Huawei can trade with US companies again.

I'd like to ask about resolutions. Is it possible to change the aspect ratio from 4.3 to something that fits on a screen, 16.9 perhaps? I've had a good look but could very possibly be missing something.

Thanks James but that's still 4.3 and obviously lower resolution. My problem is if I take a pic I have to edit it with software on laptop so it fits a tv or computer screen, not a problem as such but this is the first phone that I've come across this problem.

Is anyone running EMUI 9.1 yet? I'm intrigued by the duo video option...

Had a quick go of the Mrs p30 pro last night, the camera zoom makes the p20 pro look rather poor which is frustrating.

Managed to get a good shot of the moon with here's, mine looks like I took a picture of a Jaffa cake. And there was me thinking the p20 pro zoom was decent!
