Desperately needing a new phone, currently have a Huawei P9 Lite (old school!) have been considering a P30 Lite, would this be a worthwhile move? Biggest issue with my current phone is its becoming very slow and space is full.
I was very impressed with my friends iPhone 11 and the camera, any similarities? or is this more the P30 Pro? worth the extra money?

Still loving my P20 pro here, so much infact that I'm 50/50 come June 2020 on upgrading the contract or cancelling it and lobbing a 30 day sim into the handset for a while.
My friend downgraded his Mate 30 to his daughters old P20 pro when his Mate green screened and Huawei ignored the warranty request, says he doesn't really notice the difference. I never look at my phone and wish it did x or y, I probably only use 30% of what it's capable of as it is.

Dropped multiple times with a Spigen case, never had any issues.
My Wife's is about the same age as yours, she used the factory supplied screen protector case but I got her a Spigen clear case and a well reviewed tempered glass screen protector from the kids for Mother's day - it's still pristine under those! She hasn't complained once about it, it just works without issue (I'll check later to see when was the last time she actually rebooted it?) Battery life is superb too - definitely sticking it on a SIM only deal at contract end as it's still overkill for her use.
Am I correct in assuming that this Google issue isn't affecting and will not affect P30 pro's?
I am getting close to "pulling the trigger" (I hate that expression!!) on an early upgrade from my S9+ into a P30 pro, I have 2 friends who've recently gone from their S8+'s and can't stop talking about how good the P30 pro is.
Also am I likely to notice a discernible difference in overall performance and camera from the S9+ to the P30 pro?
I don't need to change early and I could wait for the S11, I just fancy something new and shiny
