I've had EMUI 10 for a couple of days now. The 'swipe up to open all apps' function stopped working pretty much straight away, which is annoying as balls. I seem to be having totally random app issues as well - my work email account in the Outlook app keeps removing itself, and my Nest home/away assist doesn't seem to work which has left me without hot water in the morning a couple of times

Given I'm a month away from potentially ordering a P30 Pro NE, I'm starting to reconsider!

Mine keeps locking up in my web browser for maybe a minute at a time for me and Mrs, Battery seems to be draining much faster for the Mrs now 1 day life instead of 2 I haven't noticed but I haven't tried it really.

I need a new phone when my contracts in up in a month or so as Ive broken 2 of the 3 lense covers on the back but after replacing them the iq has gone more to st but I have no idea what to replace it with

With the last couple of updates, the day of the update and perhaps the one after my battery life seemed poor. However it then seemed to go back to as before.

Only because I manually installed it using Hisuite proxy method from CDA forums. Once I'd figured out the instructions it was very simple.

Took a bit if getting used to, but I really prefer the look

Has yours updated to 10 and is this since that happened.

Anecdotally both me and a mate have a Mate 20 on EMUI10. Mines been rock solid with no issues but I bought it second hand with 10 already installed and factory reset. My mates been having similar issues to you but his hasn't been reset since being on EMUI9. I did suggest he factory reset bit haven't seen him for ages so don't know if that resolved his problem.

Yeah both mind and Mrs upgraded 9-10 I could rest it but then I'd need to install everything again

Getting close to upgrade time but really don't know what to do. It would appear that all of the premium phones are extremely high priced now and the mid-range no different in spec to the P20 Pro.

I was looking at S20, similar price per month but have read that it's not really a worthwhile upgrade from the P20 Pro.

Anyone got any recommendations or shall I just go sim only for a bit?

I can recommend the P30 Pro - It's a better phone, but not too far different to make it difficult to navigate. However, given the cost of the other high end phones and the like, had the next phone been the P40, I'd have stuck with the P20 and gone SIM only...

Ditto - I moved to a P30 Pro 'new edition' a couple of weeks back. It's basically the same phone (which is a good thing in my eyes) but with the addition of a curved edge screen and better camera lenses. The 5x zoom is good, but the wide-angle is a really nice addition that I didn't previously realise how much I needed

For anyone considering upgrading from the P20 Pro to an S20 5G - my advice is don't bother! My OH needed a phone so I gave her the P20 and I got a new contact for the S20. I am yet to find any noticeable difference and a number of other elements I feel are inferior. Lesson learnt, top-end phones last a long time!

I'm loving my P30, but it's not a stretch away from the P20 if I'm honest - I hate the curved screen, but my case has a slightly raised edge that stops the curved screen getting in the way but still leaving me the ability to use it if I want to

I spent well on a Spigen case, it's saved the phone on several occasions.

Any one else use the Nationwide banking app and having issues?

P20 Pro (v10.0.0.171)

The App is forcing me to update, it goes off to the Play Store then I get a "Sorry something went wrong. Try again" message when i try to update the app.

All other apps seem to be ok.
