Welcome
I used mine for 3 hrs today on the train. Wouldnt be without them. The gesture control and music muting / or rather letting the outside world in works really well too.
I feel like a plum when doing so, but they actually work really well as a handsfree calling solution too. The 4 ANC microphones are also used for calling and they work really well.
Yes, really looking forward to getting them. They are arriving on Saturday and we go on hols on Sunday, so perfect timing. I used mine for 3 hrs today on the train. Wouldnt be without them. The gesture control and music muting / or rather letting the outside world in works really well too.

Headphones arrived yesterday.
Very well pleased with them.
Fantastic sound, great functionality, excellent noise cancelling.
One thing that caught me unawares and is maybe normal on headphones but not on any other devices i have - you cant switch them on when they are charging? I thought they were faulty at one point, but other than that no gotchas.
The app on the phone for them is great too.
Thanks for the recommendation on here

Seeing as the Op is sorted, can I ask a wider question about noise canceling?
I had some a few years back on an plane and with the canceling switched on I was able to hear the lower frequentlies of the aircraft subframe creaking and groaning as the wings flexed etc.
It was very weird and rather disconcerting.
Anyone else experienced this?

I'll check for it in about 2 hrs time. On our way to Fuerteventura I had some a few years back on an plane and with the canceling switched on I was able to hear the lower frequentlies of the aircraft subframe creaking and groaning as the wings flexed etc.

I see the SONY ones are up £20 on Amazon since yesterday, now £269.

Not with my QC35IIs. I had some a few years back on an plane and with the canceling switched on I was able to hear the lower frequentlies of the aircraft subframe creaking and groaning as the wings flexed etc.

I’ve never had that, but I wonder if it is similar to the ‘tube effect’ that you get with these ANC headphones.I had some a few years back on an plane and with the canceling switched on I was able to hear the lower frequentlies of the aircraft subframe creaking and groaning as the wings flexed etc.

I can’t use the Bose QC35 or B&W PX on the tube because the fluttering of the doors confuses the ANC leading to weird sound and uncomfortable pressure. They same pairs have always been fine on flights and in every other environment.
The strange thing is there are so many people on the Jubilee Line is wearing QC35s.

Helps if you put them in the middle NC settingI can’t use the Bose QC35 or B&W PX on the tube because the flattering of the doors confuses the ANC leading to weird sound and uncomfortable pressure. They same pairs have always been fine on flights and in every other environment.

Can anyone recommend some lightweight cabled headphones, either on or over-ear? They are for my nephew for gaming so his mum can hear the TV whilst he is on the PC in the lounge
My Koss Porta Pro's would be ideal as they sound great and are nice and light. As they have the metal headband you can bend them to make them more comfortable. I didn't really want to pay £35 though just for his gaming and they are not the most durable design.
I bought a set of these Panasonic headphones as they looked comfortable, but they sound so muffled they are absolute junk. I'm surprised Panasonic would make such a bad product. They are not even very comfortable as they squeeze your ears flat and because they are plastic, you can't bend them for comfort.

A few years back I bought a £20 Sennheiser headset to use for gaming myself, but that sounded crap too, even when just using it for games, not music. I thought Sennheiser was supposed to be a decent brand.
I've never considered myself to be an audiophile, but I'm amazed at the differences between how different headphones sound.

Good in ear monitors with sleeves that fit as close to perfect as possible are the best for noise cancelling (not to mention sound quality). Even better if you get custom moulds made for your ears by someone who knows what they're doing. My favourite non-custom sleeves are the Westone star silicone tips.I had some a few years back on an plane and with the canceling switched on I was able to hear the lower frequentlies of the aircraft subframe creaking and groaning as the wings flexed etc.

Likewise. Finlandia recommended them in a thread years ago and i’ve been using them ever since (on Shure 535)Anyone tried the b&o h9i head phones? I know b&o are normally dismissed but I have seen many positive reviews. I am working on the basis that we have already entered “stupidly priced” territory with the Sony’s so it makes little difference if I spend more. I like the look but want to make sure they have the performance to match.
I’m looking to get the wife some headphones for Christmas, need to be a bit girly so I’m thinking these in the curry’s sale: https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/audio-and-headphones...
I'm no expert but when I looked at buying most of the advice I got was that with Beats you're paying a lot for the name and unlike many other brands where you get the name and performance with Beats they don't justify the premium price. For on ear I settled for Sennheiser Momentum's which are now pretty cheap. I'm sure for £180 you can get something considerably better than a fashion brand.
