It’s not proper dual sim unless you’re in china though. One physical sim and an Esim. How long will it be until U.K. carriers can do ESim?
Already available on some .. EE had the capability. However Dual Sim is likely to turn off the carriers .. most carriers don't sell dual sim phones and you have to buy them simfree …. direct from Apple

If dual sim launches in the uk properly it is for me.
But if not, I’ll just get a 7. Seems reasonable at £450.
Apple store says its dual in uk. Nano and esimBut if not, I’ll just get a 7. Seems reasonable at £450.

Who under 80 needs a fall detector?
Media is making out that this is a game changer but unless you have a habit of being completely paralytic I can see no use for anyone sober.
I wonder how many false alarms that will set off. Chuck your phone on the sofa and and ambulance at your door 5 min later....Media is making out that this is a game changer but unless you have a habit of being completely paralytic I can see no use for anyone sober.

There are some pretty useful blood sugar meters now that link to a smartphone to store the readings; problem is they all need a finger prick blood sample to analyze. I don't see a smart watch being able to measure blood sugar any time soon because I don't think they can get away from that need to have an actual blood sample?
It's 17 years since the first gen Glucowatch became available. A lot of people suffered skin irritations but it stuck around for 10-12 years in total. Right now, best bet is this French company having their product pass certification, coverage starts half-way down the page.https://www.healthline.com/diabetesmine/diabetes-s...
If this tech develops reliably and affordably then I'd consider a smartwatch if this could be integrated into it.
Vodafone eSim is on the way apparently- it was on the slide for the UK at the Apple event. They currently have eSim capability in Germany.
Really annoying that true dual sim is limited to China.
Also - am I right in saying only the Apple watch GPS+ Cell apple watch has saphire screen and stainless body? AND your phone must be EE (or potentially vodafone) for cell to work? My current Apple Watch 1 stainless + saphire screen has proved VERY robust - I can’t believe you have to buy a cell version to get that

Why is esim worse than real dual sim?Really annoying that true dual sim is limited to China.
