All i’ll Say is Vodafone is the worst operator in the UK, in fact the worse plc. Why anyone would use them apart from price is baffling. Their corporate policies are designed to cheat as much cash from their ‘punters’ as possible. No morals, period.
Something to back up those accusations would make them at least worthy of consideration. Otherwise completely meaningless.WyrleyD said:
If I was to buy a dual sim Xr in Hong Kong would the warranty be valid in the rest of the world should it develop a problem whilst travelling as I travel frequently to HK, UK, France and NZ. The eSim thingy is no good to me as I am not tied to any particular network and it looks like the eSim is only for "on contract" phones so the dual-sim HK version would suit my needs perfectly.
Apple does a worldwide warranty.tim0409 said:
IPhones are excluded from their worldwide warranty; although in practice I’m sure they would be willing to repair out with the country of purchase.
The other thing to keep in mind is length of warranty; even if they do fix iphones bought elsewhere it will only be for a year whereas UK purchased phones benefit from longer consumer protection as stated on their website.
They generally don’t mention it as they would rather sell you Apppe Care.

Not excusing Apple but I don't know why anyone wouldn't use wireless charging now that it's available. It's so convenient.
It's not available on the 6 and 7?https://www.amazon.co.uk/hanende-Wireless-Receiver...

Ah gotcha. Yeah that is a pain because itunes is just intolerable.
I really dont get the hate for itunes, I've used it since my first ipod mini...... always just set all my devices to 'manually control' music. Then its just a case of drag/ drop what music I want on/ off the iphone/ ipod/ ipad, same with photos etc..... all backed up to the computer. I buy a CD, rip to itunes, plug in phone, drag new album over to phone, job done. if theres any music i want off the phone, plug into itunes, select the phone, select the music- click delete, job done. jamoor said:
Are you seriously trying to argue that tech companies act ethically? They are famous for being unethical as it's part of their culture, much like we can say kaizen is part of alot of Japanese companies culture.
Rather like banks, insurance companies, telecoms companies, manufacturing . . . . . . . . . .Davislove said:
Can anyone give me quick synopsis as to why I might need an Apple Watch? it looks close to viable with the latest version for me but I keep putting it off!
Everyone’s different. I use mine principally as a fitness tracker, I also have an app that lets me know when West Ham or England score or concede a goal. Oh and it also tells the time.TheJimi said:

I assume it’ll be quite good, but I honestly can’t fathom the point of a folding one?
I can. I like to keep my phone secure in a buttoned down shirt or jacket pocket. The phones have been getting too big for the pockets.
Phone sizes have long gotten stupid, imo.
Galaxy S8/9 or iPhone X is THE absolute limit for me, from a size perspective.
I have an iPhone X and wouldn’t want anything bigger. The 4 was a great size for me.

I have a 6 Plus as my main phone.
Apple have never made an iPhone the size of a credit card - ever. There is none to choose from.
And I'm not wanting to buy an essentially rubbish outdated model. I want the latest model in a smaller more pocket friendly size. I'm on a computer most of the day and have a Mac and iPad at home. These days I just don't need my phone to be big and tbh nano sized full screen iPhone would be brilliantly awesome. Much more comfy in a pocket, but with all the same ability.
I agree, I thought the iPhone 4 was the perfect size.Apple have never made an iPhone the size of a credit card - ever. There is none to choose from.

Just a heads up iOS 12.1 was released last night which enables the dual sim feature (if your on EE).
More info below but it looks like you need to request a e-sim pack which can either be posted to you(call 150) or you can get one from an EE store. I will pick one up on the weekend.

I've often wondered if Apple could become an airtime provider? If their devices became locked to their own data provision it would be game, set and match wouldn't it? eSIM technology seems well positioned for this.
How would they establish a network for phone coverage? That’s a massive task.Gassing Station | Computers, Gadgets & Stuff | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
