I can imagine, what gesture is required for it when you don't have a button?
You swipe down from the bottom section of screen.

I'm positive you used to have to try and stretch your thumb up into the top right hand corner and swipe down, but now you can just use the gesture bar instead which is far easier. cool

That would defeat the object of the gesture haha

I've not had a play on an X so I'm still in the world of the home button. Don't really want to become part of the facial recognition club so I'm not really sure what to do with regards to my next phone. Probably get another year out of this 7 Plus and then it's back to the drawing board.

My hands are unTrumplike enough not to need it, but to have it work, you have to turn on "reachability" in settings/general/accessibility

Mine would be the same but in between the iphone 4 and 5 size and also waterproof. I can only just use my SE comfortably with one hand and would prefer it to be a little bit smaller really. I seem to be in the minority though - an iphone mini would be great.
May already know this, but if you tap the home button twice (not click, tap), it brings the top of the screen halfway down the phone so you can reach any buttons or options at the top of the screen.

I manage to use my 7 plus with one hand no problems at all with this feature. Its only occasionally I need to tap something at the top of my screen, and when I do I just double tap the home button to bring it into reach smile
Yes I was aware of this feature but haven't used it much because it's only been on other peoples phones as I've stuck with the SE for the size reason, I simply don't want a bigger phone!

Is they don't make another small phone I suppose I will eventually grudgingly have to upgrade to an 8 for the better camera and waterproofness but I won't be happy about having to carry a bigger phone around.

Mind you I said that about the 5 coming from the 4S and now I actually prefer the size of the 5/SE but it is also thinner and lighter which helps.

Lol, yes of course... doh. laugh

It was bottom right corner, but the gesture bar does it now.

I'd be interested in a bigger iPhone X, not sure I'd be quite so keen on the cost though.

Learn something new every day! Thanks for that. Always thought it was a glitch in the software when that happened and never understood what triggered that action

As the iMac is 20 years old this year, count on a decent upgrade. Reduced Bezels etc

My wife is desperate for a new iPhone as her 6 is at full capacity and very unreliable (dropping calls, switching itself off, freezing etc. She doesn't want or need the latest phone out so does anyone have any thoughts on like price drops on the iPhone 7 or 8 once the new lineup is out? Are they likely to be reduced based on previous years?

My 7Plus is absolutely fine so I'll be dropping to a £15ish tariff for a year.

Try being a Mac Mini user. Current model is the 2014 hehe
Lol I am still using my i5 2011 Mac Mini. SSD 2 years ago gave a new lease of life and to be honest for general home web surfing, streaming etc it’s still ok.

Hope they bring out a new one as I think a replacement would be nice, but the current version is not a huge improvement.

Also really hoping for some good deals on current iPhones as my 6 is tatty as hell now. Charging is becoming an issue, with some pocket gremlin, stuck a bit in the charger hole that I can’t get out.
Would hope the SE is a bit closer in spec as I prefer that shape.

Certainly don't buy anything yet but yes, prices for the older models could fall next week.

Plus a new phone with lower spec to the XS but with a screen size larger than the XS but smaller than the XS Plus (although the rumor is that they will drop the "Plus" naming and both the small and large XS will be called XS - that should be confusing)
The larger XS might be called the XS Max apparently. According to 9 to 5 Mac anyway.

SSD makes a massive difference. I use mine for the same along with some Illustrator/Photoshop/InDesign stuff. Faster than the machines I used to use when in the print industry. Just sits there doing all I ask of it without complaint.

Not sure why they need to drop the Plus name and replace it with Max, everyone knows what the Plus means? Wonder what they will do next year, will they stick with roman numerals (XI) or revert to 11. Still I'm a sucker so I suppose it will have an XS Max if that's what they want to call it.

I’m hoping for a replacement to my iPhone 6s Plus which has been a great workhorse over the years.

I was also keenly awaiting the Apple Watch as I’d received a small bonus at work and thought I’d bite the bullet finally, then Nike started selling off their watches cheap and with an extra 30% off code applied I managed to get a £429 42mm Apple Watch Nike+ cellular for £209! If it’s only the screen size that changes then I’m not too bothered.

Could you share where you bought it from and got the code?

Sadly the offer has expired. They do have a series 2 on offer. https://www.nike.com/gb/t/apple-watch-nikelab-seri...

However last month they reduced the price of all Apple watches on the Nike store. Someone on HotUKDeals found a 30% off Nike code on running heroes (still available) that whilst in the small print said you cannot use it on Apple products when you applied it the code was accepted.

I took the plunge expecting to get a refund or rejection and Nike honoured all purchases and quickly changed the system to block that code on Apple products.

Ready for an upgrade for my 7 and Version 1 Apple Watch.

Not sure if I'm ready to go Plus size yet, but my eyesight is possibly needing the move... hehe

There’s a rumour that the charging port is to change, I hope not!

Been waiting for today as I may get my youngest a new iPhone SE, see what this evening brings!
