Anyone have one of these?

I'm tempted by one as now out of contract. The 10x optical zoom and camera quality is a real pull for me.

Does the phone appear as a removable device when plugged into a Windows PC?

SWMBO and i both have p20 Pro's
We like them more than the 4 iphones we had before,(and half the price), when plugged into windows they come up as an external memory devise

I've had p30pro for few months now.
Amazing phone, abosultely no issues whatsoever, great battery, amazing cameras.
The only thing that could be improved would be for it to have stereo speakers.

Same, had mine a week and seems a decent jump from my galaxy s8.

I don't like having all the apps on the homescreens though

What does it mean? You can have whatever you want on your homescreen/s. Or you can delete all of them from it

I have an Xperia XZ Premium just now. So you don't have a home screen(s) and then an apps section behind it - just all your apps across home screens?

What's the screen quality like - will I miss 4k ?

I can't seem to delete the app, only uninstall them?

Where as the galaxy, the homescreens was empty, and if I swiped up, the full list of apps appeared.

On the P30, I've got 6 homescreens to house all the apps... Hopefully I'm missing something?

Go to SETTINGS, then HOME SCREEN, then HOME SCREEN Style and change it to drawer.
Then just press and hold on whatever you want to delete and then REMOVE option appears.
You can also remove whole homescreens. I normally only have one, don't like horizontal scrolling.

I have one, thrilled with it! I'm usually one to change phones quite often, but I can see me holding on to this, the OS runs buttery smooth (smoother then IOS for me) and a fantastic camera as well, it also seems to have amazing battery life. I would highly recommend one.

I replaced my S8+ with a P30 Pro. Great phone so far, no complaints from me.

Pixel 2 -> P30 Pro, I'll echo everyone else, very happy with it indeed.

Few months off but also now replacing a s8 with one of these...

Am actually marginally excited by an incoming gadget. Apart from the camera what treats will I see over my old Samsung?

Now to find a case - is it worth buying a screen protector?

Better camera
Better Battery life
Additional App Store
Use your phone as a TV remote

I'm sure there will be more but those jump out.

And if you're an old fart, the bigger screen is easier to read.

The battery performance is so much better than the S8, I took mine off charge at 8 this morning, and it's still got over 60% left. BTW, I've stopped putting on charge overnight, less than an hour's charge gets me through the day with ease.

Oh and it comes with a screen protector already applied. I've got a Snakehive case for mine.

This, at the moment, will be my next phone in May when I'm due an upgrade (from my P20 Pro). I'd happily change now as I've seen it and I like it.

Question though - Is the lack of home button annoying at all?

There is a home button.

I came from the S8 and from memory the only difference is the S8 Vibrated when you touched the screen where the home button was making it feel like an actual button but it's still touch screen at the end of the day.

You can either have the home button permently there or hidden and a swipe up will reveal it.
