Yeah doesn't seem to be any massive changes really.

New colourway and that's pretty much it.

Just go for the current one on the mobile phones direct O2 and 3 deals, that loads of us have.

Every offer seems to be back to cash backs, I thought the trade had moved away from then.
Do they just hope people will forget to claim?

Possibly.

Not hard to set a reminder on your calendar though.

Shame, my S9 is feeling old and thought a boosted P30 Pro might be a good route, will probably just go S20 now (with the cost associated)

to replace my p20 pro i was considering

p30 pro
s20+
iphone 11 pro

I've tried and can't do the man maths to justify the 11 pro - also as i'd like more than a 64gb model. The pricing seems to have gone insane.

s20+ - cheaper but not significantly so , than the Iphone and I can't see the advantages of it over the p30 pro

p30 pro - seems to have the best camera, looks prettiest, fantastic battery and by far the cheapest.

Ah well - that seems to be my decision made up.

100gb a data @ £28 / month after cashback.

ive also decided on the p30 pro, but as im on EE small business, im looking at £46+VAT a month for unlimited data - I cant justify that, no way.

Managed to get a good deal from O2 on the S20, all the other phones are too big for my liking, P30 Pro would have been on the upper edge of comfort, got the 5g version so when I can leave the house I'll get it, if the nutters havent taken the masts down by then

Anyone know the bottom line on whether the P30 Pro will continue to receive android updates and of not, when do these stop?

I have been reliably informed by my mobile provider that the P30 will continue to get updates until it's no longer feasible. wink

haha like the mobile provider know anything!

my P20 pro came out 2 years ago - last security patch - 1st December 19

Still on android 9, promised android 10 since October.

so its about 18 months from new before they give up the ghost with this model.

perhaps the new edition will mean they keep it going a little longer, but im done with Huawei, off to a pixel i suspect!

If the P series continues to get Android updates for a year, I'm buying a p30 today. Most phones will drop off the update rollout list at some point, so it's all a spectrum IMO

of course the p30 pro will for a while, i was using my p20 pro as an example answer to the question around how long the p30 WILL continue to receive updates going forward
