DHL have failed to deliver mine FFS
Not hugely surprising... When I saw DHL delivery I was prepared for it to take a few days, for once I was pleasantly surprised.
It was out for delivery at 0718, due for delivery between 1600-1700, that came and went then now is showing as "back at delivery depot"

Had to turn off motion sense, screen was waking up a hell of a lot also when on treadmill it kept waking up and unlocking which got annoying.

Lift to wake is how I'm waking the phone to unlock at the moment.

I've enabled developer options, turned the lag fix on and also enforced 90mhz screen all the time, compared the screen side by side to my Pixel XL 2 and theres a huge difference in quality and colours.

Apart from that its pretty much the same as my 2.

I'm running the phone at about 75% brightness + and I also have the 90mhz option forced in developer options.

Battery life is a hell of a lot better than my Pixel XL 2, and I was fairly happy with that.

Apart from that pretty much as above, not a whole lot different from 2XL.

I worked out the difference between a Sim only deal and buying the phone up front and taking it out on contract would be £200-£500.

My usual day shift routine with the Pixel XL 2 was unplug at 05:50 go to work, 6 mile drive to work phone would loose 1-2% with wifi and bluetooth turned off, use at my desk all day and by about 1700 the phone would be on about 20-15% so I would charge it ready for the rest of the night.

Did the same routine with the Pixel 4 XL yesterday and left the office at 1820 with 48% still left. I've just put it on charge now with 5% left. That is with 90mhz forced in developer options.

My day shift usage is mainly Facebook, Instagram, Web surfing and Whatsapp.

Been using mine at work all week and getting a full day use out of it, Pixel XL 2 would last me from 0700-1700 (I'm quite a heavy user).

I just bought a cheap gel case off ebay.

Chromebook arrived today, thought I would have a quick go on it before powerwashing it and packaging it back up for mum.

Got to say really disappointing the screen, here it is next to my LG Chromebase, you cant really see it that well on the photos but the colours in the Chrome logo for example are bright on my Chromebase, they are like pastel colours on the HP.

Even white backgrounds are grey in colour.

Had Google phones since the Nexus, got the pixel 4 on release it does everything great but I don't think it has a wow factor, I quite regularly get to the end of a 8 hour day with only 10-15% battery, think I'm going to change brands what does everyone think of one plus
I've had most of them as well, 4 XL isn't a massive upgrade over my 2 XL. Battery is better that's about it.

I struggle however with other versions of Android, too much bloatware etc. I just wish Pixel launcher would allow you to hide stuff.

My 4 XL is still working fine but isn't a massive upgrade over my 2 XL I had previously. Battery is also doing fine, last me a good 12-14 hours during a working day and a lot more when I'm not at work.

Are you talking about Whatsapp not making calls via Google Assistant or just Whatsapp not making calls full stop? the latter would be a Whatsapp issue which is Facebooks problem not Google.

So last few days my 4 XL has been a bit laggy (even with developer mode lag tricks turned on) and then today when at 50% battery phone turned off. Wouldnt turn back on. Plugged it in and red battery on screen, then white battery with ? in middle. Finally rebooted. checked stats and it went off with 50%.

So opened the chat with Google and then it did it again, currently on with support. They want me to try all the usual but I've told them its gotta be a hardware fault!

Not happy, I'm a big Pixel supporter. Not really happy to take a refurb off them either and they have discontinued the Pixel 4 and XL. 4A isn't really upto spec, you loose water proof etc.

They still have 4XL new stock just you cant buy them as a new customer (tells me there's issues with them) anyway they have let me order a new replacement.

My phone is showing 50% continuously whether its plugged in or not. and keeps turning off.

Annoyingly for now, if I go out of the house and it turns off, no way of restarting it. Its requires plugging in.

Got to say my Pixel 2 XL was solid. Mums got it now, sisters got a Pixel 2.
