My XDA II has been playing up of late (keeps locking and lost it's GPS ability)

I've re-installed TomTom but it still won't find the GPS and locks up on set up. :banghead:

Time for a hard re-set?

What's involved (I do have a back up on my pc of everything) can't seem
to find any info on what I need to do.

Thanks in advance.

A hard reset will remove everything from the PPC, from apps to sync data, and the knowledge of the PC relationship.

Make sure that you have all your mail and contacts etc in Outlook, and that you have extracted all files that you need from the desktop copy of the PPCName_My DOcuments folder.
You will then need to do a series of button presses, normally the two outside buttons, power and the reset button all together - I find teeth useful for holding the stylus
PS Google says down on the thumb pad = the outside buttons.

Thanks for that.

Seems to have sorted the lock ups, but sadly the TomTom is still not picking up from the GPS.

Starting to working if the GPS unit has a problem.
