Why Won't My Dell Laptop Go To Sleep?
Discussion
Do you usually shut it down or just put it to sleep once you've finished?
If you shut it down while holding the shift key, does it work then?
Win10 doesn't actually shut down when you tell it to, it just goes into a hybrid sleep/hibernate. Holding shift down shuts it down properly.

This may be nonsense, but I always feel that shutting down at the end of the day allows it to clean itself up to a degree. Certainly even with the pretty rock solid ThinkPads that I've used for years, they quite regularly (maybe once a week of normal use) need to be be rebooted during the day to overcome some glitch or other.

Yesh, I know, but I can't be arsed It's not as if my laptop has to work very hard when it's awake. I use Outlook, Chrome and Excel, pretty much.
