Hi all,

OK, I've had the question mark sysmbol flashing which I know means the m/c can't see the system folder ... tried to start using original Norton disks - pressing C on the keyboard - no good ...

Found the original system 9.2 disks ... inserted and pressed C on start up - voila, machine started up from the system folder on that CD.

Still with me?!

Cleanly installed OS 9.2.1 from the CD again. Restarted and the machine now starts up using OS X!

Thin is, none of our software works in OS X. It was obviously primed somehow to point to OS 9.2 when starting - question is, how can I do this - it just always wants to start OS X.

Any ideas Mac mates?

Machine is a Power Mac G4 tower. The silver one ... 18 months old or so.
