Laptop - biggest screen with smallest footprint?
Discussion
I have an Elitebook (albeit an ultrabook, so smaller screen that you are after) and it's excellent.
Well built, decent (touch) screen, fingerprint scanner, Windows Hello camera and great battery life.
With an i5, 500gb SSD and 16gb memory it was under £700 refurbished from ebay with 2 years HP warranty remaining.

If you fancied saving a bit of cash you could buy a portable screen. Only weighs 0.8KG and very slim like a tablet. You could use it dual screen with your current laptop. I couldn't go back to working on one screen.

If your requirement is portable screen real-estate then this is the correct answer. Plus it looks really cool on your desk.https://www.amazon.co.uk/AOC-I1601FWUX-15-6-Inch-P...
Many thanks all for the brilliant input.
Man maths kicked in and I've overspent my budget by around £200 :P
Got a nice deal on HP Envy x360 with the Ryzen processor. It's great at it can be folded into a tablet form.
Only weird issue is that it takes about 2 minutes to reboot or shut down. The laptop seems to be non responsive for that period of time, or perhaps something is running which is not presented on the screen. From cold boot it's quick though.
