It’s the spare room with a IKEA pull out bed opposite to the desk, to the left of the photo.
Xbox there for when my partner is watching Eastenders and I can pick up and play a game I’m not playing on the OLED.
Second monitor in the box waiting to go on the arm pending a solution to dual displays with the new work laptop. Waiting to hear back from the help desk also.
Not the most inspired view; but a worktop from Kitchen Worktop Express propped on top of a couple of drawer units
I'm sure someone should say I shouldn't have the window behind, but it works for me - also enjoy a deep and wide space - I'm a scribbler so no too long after this it disappeared under notes and post-its
Screens - a 34" Ultra widescreen and the 'old' 27" TV/monitor now, mounted on the wall used to watch the racing....

The glare from the window would break my eyes for sure though.

What I did was put car window tint on my window, kills the sun glare off but still lets in light.
North facing so not bad at all - plus have blinds if needed; only problem is i need to close them when doing video calls otherwise i look like a demented ghost.... (well that's what I'm blaming, it may be just my natural glow!)techguyone said:
I have that desk in brown though, it is bigger than it looks in that picture, best bit is that it is 65cm deep, so even large tower PC's fit on it without any overhang.
It’s a perfect size for the room and makes good use of the space. Colour other than white would have been a better buy. The pull out bed sofa fits right up to the desk when pulled out to a double.New role is fully WFH so might rearrange the room but to be honest the bed has been used enough times with visitors.

You used to be able to get a big designed for this desk pu covered metal flat desk tidy/blotter thing that covered much of the desk, ideal for where white isn't so great.New role is fully WFH so might rearrange the room but to be honest the bed has been used enough times with visitors.

Need some help and advice chaps..
New chair has arrived.. SO much better than the stool.. Downsides being that I can't hop on and off, but need to wheel it back and forth to get on/off.
So, I need something to protect the thick pile carpet - and not look st as its in my front room? I looked at plastic carpet protectors, but they are ugly af. Perhaps a rug ? something that allows the chair to roll a little, protects the carpet, and doesn't 'float' or move around... Any ideas?

Forgot to say - many specify 'for hard floor only' , including that one. Not sure if that just means they need to be secured down on carpet? But as they seem to be rubberised underneath I'm worried they will mark the carpet. Would those rubber gym mats that click together work?

Might be too much resistance though?

You'll get used to a plastic carpet protector laying there. If it really really continued to get on your goat you could lay on some carpet tiles to the plastic. The trick with it all is to have the rigid surface so the castors on the chair don't dig in to the pile of the carpet (along with the assistance in their quest by the carpet underlay).New chair has arrived..
