Noble chair Hero arrived this morning. Setup in 30mins - super super easy.

First impression (10mins in):
- It's a quality item. The pretend leather feels and smells great.
- It's less 'squidgy' on the bum than I anticipated but feels very supportive and comfortable.
- The arm-rest surface feels a bit too plasticky.

Thanks to this forum for pointing in this direction !

I really cannot decide between the noblechairs Hero or the SecretLabs Titan (in fabric or House Targaryen because dragons). They both seem like decent chairs, both have integrated lumbar, all the recline features you could want and are similarly priced.

A friend has a SecretLabs Omega and has given me a referral code for £20 off, which is slightly swaying it in favour of them, but without trying them out it is hard to know what will be the most comfortable.

From what I've seen of the photos of the Noble, and my ownership of the Secretlabs Titan, I strongly suspect they're basically the same chair from the same manufacturer, just with minor styling tweaks.

I have the Noblechairs Hero as of 5 days ago. I got it in the hybrid leather all black since it seems to be more breathable, especially with summer coming up I really didnt fancy a sticky leather chair. I have to say the material feels great, like leather but with a slight velvety feeling, I really like it.

The lumbar is nice, but doesnt come out as far as I like, every review says the cushion that comes with it is unnecessary, but actually I find it pretty handy.

I get the feeling Im not quite tall enough for this chair (I'm 59'-5'10) and dont really get much head support, it also comes with the head pillow but I find that too big to use since the width of the chair prevents me from sliding it down to behind my neck. If its behind my head I'm too far forward.

Adjustably is great, and the spring mechanism seems to be really nicely weighted. Its probably a bit wider then I need too, though the armrests are very adjustable, though because of its width I could use them coming in a little more then they day, though because you can also angle them it works pretty well, especially for typing where your hands are naturally angled in that way

The chair itself is very good, pretty easy to put together, and the quality feels excellent. One thing I am annoyed about having to change is the wheels which already seem to be messing up my wood floor, so I'm waiting on a set of replacement wheels from amazon.

Overall its a very good chair, but by no means perfect. Given the choices of whats currently available and what I know now, I'd probably still buy it. The other option for me was a herman miller aeron used for about the same price. I rejected that because of the lack of head support, though ultimately this isnt providing that in a meaningful way either though it could if you just wanted to really lie back put your feet up and watch something.

Looking at the pics I strongly suspect you're right and it's simple badge-engineering.

Given that, and that all the SecretLabs ones seem to be on back-order I'm leaning in favour of the Noble. Could their materials be slightly different? Is Noble's PU Hybrid the same as SecretLabs' Prime 2.0 PU?

I really don't see it.
At least the stitching and mold of the seat looks completely different to me, as does the wheelbase. Even the armrests and the reclining mechanism look different.
The basic layout of the controls looks the same, but they do on a fiesta and an s-class as well.

I use one of these.

https://sandberg.world/en-gb/product/Voodoo-Gaming...

Had it for about 2 weeks. Initial impressions are that it is comfortable and well engineered. I am not a big bloke, but years of rock climbing mean big lats- it can feel a bit narrow around the upper back.

That said, I have it quite upright, similar to my driving position, and it provides lots of support for my knackered hips and back.

Less than £200.

Ignore the wheelbase, that's a simple swap-out. The shape and design looks identical to my eyes - if you were to add a 'stitch line' to the SecretLabs one across the top of the backrest it'd be identical. Your comparison pics actually make it more likely that they're just different covers stretched over the same seats. I wouldn't compare Fiesta and S-Class - I'd say it's more VW Golf and Audi A3!

In fact I daresay that if we went looking there'd be a cheap Chinese version that's identical - with the only additions here in the UK being posh covers and funky branding!
Edit: Case in point:

£235 inc VAT...

At the lower end (& not gaming, so perhaps not valid on this thread?) someone did mention https://www.ebuyer.com/859576-lisbon-mesh-office-c... was very good - bargain price, for sure (£140 delivered).

Anyone here using one?

Looks to me almost a poor man's Hermann Millar.....tempted to try one. Or maybe I need to prove I am not a poor man & buy the real thing hehe

My chairs have always been old office 'cast-offs' - generally okay, but I ought to invest some real money in something. Quite hard to spend hundreds on an item you cannot road test!
I do agree that the Costco one's haven't felt brilliant lately.

All the pieces are a simple swap out. The only thing that might be identical from what I see is like you said, the seat shape. I'm not even convinced it is, and if it is, it's just this model (I looked for the two that looked most alike). But the hinge, controls, arms, cover, all look from a different parts bin.

My Fiesta S Class analogy was because both are cars and both look like cars. The wheels are a simple swap out and the body could be a different cover silly

All of the chairs on the noblechairs site come up as Not Available for me (their accessories come up as Available). Therefore, I have ordered a SecretLabs Titan, since I had that discount and my current chair is "ok", just a bit DIY and the gas lift is on the way out (already replaced once).

The one I ordered will allegedly ship out May 22nd or earlier, which is fine for me. Although there are w preorder lines running for it, and it might be June, but as long as my current chair doesn't snuff it before then, I should be fine.

That was me in another thread. Can’t praise it enough, has totally stopped the issues I was getting with pain in the lower back. I have to remind myself to get up and walk around every so often because there’s no discomfort sat in the chair at all.

Ahhh, thanks - would you mind confirming how low the lowest arm-rest adjustment takes it to?

The Secretlabs chairs look cool, but only drop arms to 66cm....I would prefer a smidgeon below that to be sure it doesn't scuff my desk!

Wow, this thing has made me realise just how bad my old office chair was... It's SO comfortable!

Glad I went for this one rather than SecretLabs - it's more subtle and the hybrid leather (which wasn't an option with SecretLabs) is lovely.

It's bigger than I thought it would be, the top of the backrest is above my head although I'm a very average 5'10". I've lost a lot of weight in the last 9 months too (45kg) but I'm still a big guy - I have oodles of room in it between the side bolsters etc.

What a difference though, £400 very well spent imo.
