thanks for the recommendation buddy - when you spend a LONG time in the office listening to music and taking phone-calls - the investment is well worth the ££anyway:

You will not be disappointed. That is a guide to how sophisticated my audio palette is.
They seem pretty good so far
ETA: happy to hear your suggestions of what to graduate to after the XM3’s of course.

You will not be disappointed. They offer superb sound for the listening environment, i.e. at work, on a train, on a plane. If I were to listen to my SR325e's via my mojo with UHD music, in those environments, I would:
a) quickly be told to stop being so antisocial due to sound leakage.
b) hear so much background noise that the significantly better sound quality becomes academic thanks to the back-ground noise and folks talking.
In that context, the Sony's deliver excellent sound...i.e. in a noisy environment. They are not designed for home listening.

I have the wired B&W P7's and they are great. My mate has the wireless PX7's and although they don't sound quite as good as the P7, they are not far behind with the added functionality of being wireless and having some N/C. If you can live with a wire then the P9 signatures blow the 7's away but then you pay the premium price for that. All sound warm so if you like neutral sound then they may not be for you. I prefer a more bass rich sound so they work for me. I don't use pure direct on my home amp and tend to have all the settings neutral and the bass turned up a few notches!
The PX7 are actually completely different headphones to the P7. They also did a P7 wireless version, which is what I have and they are bloody excellent, probably best headphones I’ve ever owned. I recently tried a pair of HD58X recently but sold them on after I found I preferred the B&W by far.dmsims said:
