The battery life remains the thing to put me off the Apple watch. Just checked on latest status, even their Series 5 only claims around 18 hours use.
I have a series 4, the battery will do 2 days at a pinch. Mrs BC has a 5 which isn’t quite as good.

Today’s the day.

Shame it doesn’t look like they’ll be a new iPhone announcement.

Thanks thumbup I can hold off a few more weeks if 12 is coming but if it's not announced today I'll just go with the 11.
That’s pretty much where I am. My X is ready for change but I can wait a few more weeks.

I’m underwhelmed by that. I have an iPad Pro, Iwatch 4 & iPhone X. Nothing to upgrade for me.

If the new iPad has a USB port I wonder if I could buy one to replace my ancient MacBook Air? I need the port to update my other products.

The new iPad Air had a USB-C port. The plain iPad does not. However it’s a moot point. Unless the manufacturer(s) of the other devices have special apps on the iPad it can’t update any other device.
Thanks, I’ll need to check that. The devices are Garmin so I’ll need to see if ‘Basecamp’ works on the iPad.

Might be an idea to hang on before upgrading to IOS 14:-

Where did you find that please? If it’s on my iPhone I’d like to turn it off.

I have just updated my 11 to ios14 and sorry, Apple’s attempt at widgets is utterly feeble. I cannot wait to go back to Android. Don’t get me wrong, everything with iOS works and the camera is great but the main reason I changed to Apple was for CarPlay and it’s simply not very good and certainly wasn’t worth me moving back to Apple. iOS 14 has cemented that opinion. It’s tired and quite frankly boring.
What’s wrong with CarPlay? I use it all the time and love it.

Big queues at the Apple stores in London again yesterday. I wonder if their being very restrictive on numbers in the store as they like to see a queue outside?

scratchchin I could probably get away with the mini as long as the camera is decent enough on it.
Yes, I’d want the mini so it fits into my shirt pocket.

Same here - I'm on 38GB of 64GB. I'm a fairly heavy user, but don't have many videos stored.
I’m using 58.7 of my 256 GB. Photos and music being the main culprits.

I just want to change my X with its knackered battery for something faster. Smaller would also be nice, the 4 was the perfect size for me.

I took a long at the Samsung folding phones today, very impressive. I’d be tempted but they won’t connect with my IWatch.

The Samsung store in Stratford, London is opposite Apple. I was amazed that there was a big queue at Apple but very few people in the Samsung store.

Assuming you meant to say 'very few people'... really?! You must be joking, right?
I just corrected my post to very few people. As I said that was a lengthy queue at Apple but we just strolled into Samsung. I liked the folding phones very much, small enough to fit into my pocket but opens out to become a tablet.

Did you get to use one extensively? Looking at it as a mobile alternative to carrying around my iPad Pro and the screen looks a decent size for loose work on the go?
I viewed it & opened and closed it for about 10 minutes, it seemed great. Trouble is I’d need to replace my IWatch as well as the phone.

I’ll wait & see what Apple cone up with tomorrow.
