CCL having it listed on their website is long way from being able to get one!
I got my 3070 from them. When the button is green and it says next day delivery that’s a pretty safe bet. It doesn’t stay like that for long which is why I posted when I saw it. I would have gone for the 3080Ti if it was from a top tier vendor, not Palit

Both my sons have founders edition 3070s, I have a Palit gaming pro. Mine seems to clock higher and runs cooler and quieter than theirs although it was a little more expensive at £510ish

I wouldn't rule out Palit as being substandard.

Palit is also Gainward, Galax and KFA2 cards along with others not sold here. Al the same company.

Galax sponsors the 3dMark, TimeSpy / Port Royal benchmarking software.

Palit cards are decent, their customer service is sadly not. I've long avoided companies with an offshore RMA process in favour of like likes of MSI and EVGA who have UK RMA centres after months of issues trying to get a replacement Gainward card and being passed pillar to post.

The KFA2 brand is sold in the UK, pretty sure OCUK stock them.

They are, or certainly user to be, an OCUK partner brand for the highest clocked/highest performing cards on the market. But iirc their RMA process is the same as Gainward or Palit which means having to send stuff off to a 3rd party in Germany for then to hopefully successfully facilitate its return to Taiwan for replacement.

They're all brands owned by PNY.

I had Palit down as the cheapest and worst but with eleven 2080tis to monitor and compare, the Palit is strong midfield. The best of mine is EVGA FTW3 Ultra, the 3 Rog Strix are quite good but defnintely not as good as the FTW3 I have. The Palit compares nicely with founders and Gigabyte gaming OC. It also came with a better cooler than the Asus Dual fan 2080ti. The Asus has no heatpipes and just a large lump of aluminium as a heatsink whereas even the cheapest non OC Palit had multiple heatpipes and holds a comparable performance.

So - if I could choose I wouldn't choose Palit first but I would defnitely not be upset having one if that was the option available.

I have "Elite status" with EVGA and that meant we got a 24 hour head start of non Elite status in getting in the queue for the 3080tis. It was am shables of overloaded website issues when they went live but I am in the queue and have decided I will just wait unless I am lucky enough to get a 3090 founders through the nvidia/scan option. Our python code is running 24/7 monitoring Nvidia so maybe we will be lucky soon!

I am wanting the 3080ti/3090 as my main gaming card, not mining,

Cheers

I updated my BIOS (if you have a Ryzen CPU and see your temps going up and down in a sawtooth pattern then this is now fixed and you can get flat temps) so thought I might as well enable resize bar as well. I've got this working now and this is how you do it with an MSI card and an ASUS motherboard:

1. Update GPU VBIOS: https://www.reddit.com/r/MSI_Gaming/comments/mhcr1...
2. BIOS settings: https://edgeup.asus.com/2021/guide-how-to-enable-r...

Nvidia 3090 Founders Editions had a drop on the website yesterday at 09:48 and stayed in stock till 09:52.

Finally managed to snatch one up.

A 3090 that can mine and perfoms well for gaming seemed like the best solution for me. I also have the EKWB waterblock on order so should be able to get over the hot VRAM temps. Good times.

Did anyone else manage to get one?

Cheers

Instant decline for no valid reason that I can tell.

IP / Email / Name / Address / Card have never bought from scan before. CC company had the purchase approved.

Got two yesterday, got declined twice.

How is everyone managing to catch the FE cards? I've had the page open since yesterday afternoon and regularly refresh and all cards out of stock. How often are they dropping?

I used this - https://t.me/joinchat/AAAAAEii3xT81U1A6tLjrQ
Telegram for desktop - https://desktop.telegram.org/
Then enable notifications. You can put it on your phone too if you need the extra beeping when you get notifications.

I clicked the links provided for the cards I was interested in, take you to special pages on the Scan website, refresh until the page is taken down. Some orders are declined so cards can become available again.

My i9/3080 based PC arrived. Very neat build, not had much time to play yet but it's burning through everything I've thrown at it so far.
