2070 Super cards are still selling on Ebay for between £550 and £700. To break even with a 3070 (as I did) you need to sell on ebay for £550 (minus Ebay fees) will return £482. Scan RTX 3070 is £480 (inc p&p). Don't bother with auction just put it on as a buy it now sale at the price you want to sell it at, there are plenty of people who miss out on auctions and just want to buy a card.

You could end up with a new card and it won't cost you a penny. Be quick though, prices are dropping.

Obviously you'd need to get the new card first before selling but I put mine on Ebay as soon as I had a confirmed order, it sold less than 2 days later and was in the post on the 3rd the same day the 3070 arrived in the post.

I'll be waiting for the next gen of cards now. Probably drop in a later CPU to replace my 3700x at the same time. Hopefully 4080 at RRP !

To be fair, it's only because I use VR. Even iRacing struggles with more than about 5 cars on the screen because I need 80fps minimum for the Oculus, and I've got a reasonable amount of detail turned down. Assetto Corsa Competizione is almost unplayable though. It's basically never more than 40fps on settings that mean it doesn't look like I'm staring through someone elses glasses. Reduced detail is as unplayable as 40fps!

Dont blame you at all That 3090 is a beast but if I spent that much on a GPU i'm not sure I would live to see the day out

I consider the 3080 to be expensive even at RRP but I would probably buy one at that price ( if I could of course ). It looks like i'm going to own my 2070 Super for a long time !

Nvidia rename 12gb 4070 series to 4080 so they can charge more according to Paul’s Hardware.

If that’s the case I can understand why EVGA have told them to go fk themselves.

I think you would get so much more pleasure eeking out the last scrap of performance from my 2070 Super rather than that stupidly powerful card you currently have. No challenge at all !
