Bent my iPad Air 2019....

I've stupidly bent my iPad Air 2019 model by treading on it 
It wasn't a huge bend and I've gently bent it back straight but now the screen doesn't work. I know the ipad itself works because I can take a screenshot and I hear the photo noise ok. The screen itself is completely unresponsive to touch though and just stays black. When I tap the home button the backlight comes on faintly but with no text and nothing on the screen other than a two faint red dots about a third of the way up.
I'm pretty handy at fixing things and can use my son's ifixit kit to get it open but any advice as to whether it's worth doing and what might need replacing would be helpful. Thanks.
