Are all those PCs in the same room? I am guessing not much heat from them since they are watercooled.
Air or water doesn’t matter, the same heat is generated and the same heat is dumped into the environment. The benefit of watercooling is the improved efficiency in transferring that heat to the room air. As such my fans can run at a much lower speed and the whole gig produces far less noise compared to 8 x 2080ti in typical air cooled form.
I do have all three machines in one relatively small "bedroom" of a modern built house, so it wants to heat the room up. I just mosquito net the window and let the Scottish cold air in to keep the room cool. Shortly two of the rigs will be put in the garage once the table is setup and that will reduce the heat build up in this room no end.

3090 VRAM temps have been steady @ 94 degC - fan 70% for a couple of weeks now. Room is around 28 degrees, with a 120mm fan directed at the back plate to stop the GPU fan cycling to 100%
After sticking a random lump of aluminium to the back of an expensive card.. VRAM dropped a couple of degrees and large reduction in fan speed.
The greatest impact is the 120mm fan pointing at the heatsink, without the GPU fans ramp up within 10 seconds
Reckon more effort in cooling the whole rig with a lower ambient will be beneficial.
That's pretty cool, thanks for posting that After sticking a random lump of aluminium to the back of an expensive card.. VRAM dropped a couple of degrees and large reduction in fan speed.

Is that running in your garage?
My single skin garage at the moment has ambient temps of around 5-6 degress
If I have the funds of running a rig like that I'd probably add a ventilation fan as well, would be perferct.

So I have a relatively powerful GPU doing only gaming and I am thinking of mining ETH.
I’ve used a simple online profitability calculator and it’s estimated at about £6.50 daily after taking out electricity costs (~12p/kWH for me). This roughly equate to £2,300 a year.
Nit a bad profit but not that much considering that the rig needs to run 24/7.
Would appreciate some thoughts as a newbie from those who has more experience.
From the thread that was closed yes the chap seemed to have banks of graphics cards as the image you posted.I’ve used a simple online profitability calculator and it’s estimated at about £6.50 daily after taking out electricity costs (~12p/kWH for me). This roughly equate to £2,300 a year.

TX.
The crypto market looks bullish at the moment, with some quick gains on alt coins so I can see why some willing to invest.
In the current market if things don't work out I suppose you can still sell the GPUs without making too much of a loss.
I use NIceHash as it's very easy to get up and running, even for beginners.
There is a profit calculator here as well : https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator
However for some serious profit you would want to consider running a rig on other miners. There are posts here on that.

Do you withdraw from Nicehash often? I'm only on about £50 at the moment but I'm thinking of taking it out and getting some ETH or another coin. I need to verify my Nicehash account first apparently.
I withdraw when it’s over the minimum threshold. Coinbase is really good if you want to invest in other cryptos. No fees in withdrawing from NH to CB which is great.
You can also then convert back to FIAT in CB.

I'm not sure if you mean £25 after electricity costs. But as an example, my ethermine dashboard estimates are below. It is doing about 0.75 Eth per month, though you will know that goes up and down even though my reported MH/s stays pretty close to exactly constant.
That's very impressive, at that hash rate you are looking at around £1,200-ish per month before electricity costs.O/T: Didn't realise there are 15 pages in this thread, as spied in your screenshot
Shame about the shortage of GPUs, otherwise I would've setup a mining rig myself. However, perhaps the shortage of GPUs had an effect on crypto prices.
